Adobe Lightroom: Eine Software für die meisten Systeme

Vorteile:

Lightroom ist mit der Adobe Cloud immer auf dem neusten Stand und das weiterarbeiten an einem anderen Gerät ist einfach. Lightroom gibt's für den PC aber auch für das iPad und das iPhone.

Nachteile:

Lightroom ist nicht ganz so benutzerfreundlich, wie man es erwartet.

Long time Lightroom user (going on 10-years) -- it's a must have for any professional photographer

Kommentare: I have been a long-time user of Adobe Products and you simply cannot use anything else if you're looking for professional editing software. I pay for the premium monthly pack of the entire adobe suite, all the software plays nice with each other integrating useful features between them all. I love the libraries in PS for editing on repeat clients with tools and styles.

Vorteile:

I love that Adobe does useful updates when they update the software. I do love many features about lightroom, speeding up my workflow, consistent batch edits and once you learn the ropes, it's a breeze to use.

Nachteile:

LR just did a major overhaul to their masking and it has been a major upgrade to the previous masking tools. So far I absolutely love it and it is already saving me so many previous headaches in time with masking objects/subjects. I wish they would work on their heal too, it is clunky, slow, and should work more like content-aware in PS, but I'm sure it will eventually get there. :) Nothing that would keep me from using the software.

Lightroom for that Professional Graphic Edits!

Kommentare: When it comes to purely graphic editing, using Lightroom is much easier than using Photoshop, for the latter is most appropriate in graphic manipulation.

Vorteile:

What makes me grow fond of Lightroom is that as I do freelancing photography, it allows me to edit the photos I've taken in batches, thus making the job easier and efficient. The presets also allows me to create a consistent mood and theme all throughout the photos for a certain events so it really appears professional looking.

Nachteile:

Although it is a really good software, Lightroom, like any other Adobe products, needs a substantial dedication and time for you to learn it. Anyone who has no background in using Adobe products will probably be easily confuse with all the icons and tools therein so I don't think it is that beginner friendly.

Adobe Lightroom Rocks

Kommentare: I absolutely enjoy using Lightroom with a majority of my images being edited with this software.

Vorteile:

I use Lightroom and Lightroom classic on a daily basis as a professional photographer. There is a small learning curve to Lightroom but once you get the hang of it, you won’t want to use anything else. I love their software.

Nachteile:

I can honestly say the only thing I don’t like about Lightroom is the learning curve.

Soooo buggy

Kommentare: I have been using LR since LR 1. I loved it for years. The move to cloud based functionality while understandable from a Developer-support position has been expensive and extremely frustrating.

Vorteile:

Nachteile:

I'm using a new Mac with 16 Ram, just loaded my first job so this Catalog is SMALL and it is very hard to work It wont even hold a filter selection so its basically useless.

A must have for all photographers

Kommentare: I use LR daily for my photographer activity and i couldn't do it with an other software. It's a must have.

Vorteile:

LR allows you to edit your pictures as you want it to. It gives you really fast render. The AI tools are insanely good. The sorting tools allows you to handle your picture sorting as you want to directly in the application.

Nachteile:

A bit complicated to understand all export options, but once you get use to it and make your templates properly it's a one click export.

Creative Alliance Review

Kommentare: Overall, lightroom has been our go-to software for final retouching the photos and we also use it for making LUTs for videos. It is a simple and easy to use software and has helped us a lot in out weekly works.

Vorteile:

Along with easy and simple photo editing, making LUTs is also very simple in lightroom. Convenient to save time for editing photos. Various filters and abundance of functions are an added bonus.

Nachteile:

One of the cons of Adobe Lightroom would be the pricing for Adobe products as a whole. Only talking about Lightroom, there are certain limitations to fully editing photos, for which Photoshop has to be integrated.

Lightroom is a foundational component to my photography workflow

Kommentare: Lightroom makes my workflow so much easier as a photographer, and I can't imagine using or recommending another software to other photographers.

Vorteile:

I've been using Lightroom for over ten years, first as a photographer, and now in my career in communications and marketing as well. The majority of how I use it is in my photography "side hustle" where I shoot portraits, weddings, and landscapes. The importing and file organization is excellent, and I love the rating system as well.

Nachteile:

The clone stamp tool leaves something to be desired- I wish it was more like the one one Photoshop.

One of the best for Novice editors

Kommentare: I work for a small waste management company, and I recently convinced my company to invest in a DSLR. This is used for all my content gathering at work, however, the CyberLink software which came bundled with my camera package was just plain horrible. Upgrading to Lightroom was a lifesaver, the ease of use, and flexibility allow me to quickly edit, add watermarks and output photos.

Vorteile:

Ease of use and more lightweight than Adobe Photoshop while maintaining most of the key features that beginner editors would require.

Nachteile:

Subject detection does not always work as well as I would like

Lightroom for IPad is the best version

Kommentare: Overall my experience are good and I have always got what i want form the software.

There are endless possibilities to customize the images just the way you like them.

Quite expensive and at the beginning needs attention and a little bit learning how to use it.

Works well for editing jewelry photos for website

Kommentare: Adobe Lightroom works great for editing jewelry images for my website. It can be a bit confusing to use, but overall it is a quick and easy way to edit good quality images.

Vorteile:

I started using Lightroom when I got a new computer a few years ago. I had been using a very old version of Photoshop to edit jewelry photos for my website. Lightroom works much better than Photoshop for this purpose, as it is designed for photo editing. I love the presets, they make it very easy to edit quickly since I take all of my photos in a lightbox with the same background.

Nachteile:

I felt that there was a bit of a learning curve when I first started using Lightroom, but once I got used to it I liked it. One thing that bothers me is that when I try to import photos I sometimes have to rename them because Lightroom will not import photos that have the same name as a previously imported photo - i.e., if I have previously imported IMG5438, then a new image with the name IMG5438 will be skipped. There may be a way to fix this, but it's not obvious.

Good Updates

Vorteile:

I have used Lightroom as a professional photographer for years. I will say the most recent updates have been excellent with the AI masking. It makes my life a lot easier and is fun to have in my tool belt. I am also glad they there are finally color profiles for CR3 files. In the market, I think it is the best photo processing tool.

Nachteile:

It seems like Lightroom is always a little late to make updates on the software, but a lot of my qualms with Lightroom were taken care of with the latest update.

Benefits and struggles of Lightroom

Kommentare: For simple photo editting, lightroom is the best software available. For more complex photo editting, you will find you still need to complement lightroom with other softwares, like photoshop, which allows you to do almost everything lightroom does without limits.

Vorteile:

Easy to understand interface and versatile editting tools. Lightroom allows you to change and improve a photographs mood and effect extremely easily. Allows you to open several photo files at once for a more convenient workflow

Nachteile:

For more advanced photo editting (specially photo manipulation), you might still need other tools like Photoshop.

No better batch photo editor out there!

Kommentare: Regarding my workflow, Adobe Lightroom has substantially improved photo categorization. I take images on a regular basis, so having them all in one spot is quite convenient. I can quickly locate a one-off old photo that I require, make a fast edit, re-export and tag it, and move on to my next task.  This is useful when I'm using photographs from more than a year ago in current marketing materials. Overall, Lightroom is a must-have for those looking to improve everything about photography—especially workflow and aesthetic adjustments.

Vorteile:

I like how Adobe Lightroom  allows me to edit RAW files in a comprehensive manner. I can batch-edit RAW photographs more easily than I can with Photoshop. I appreciate being able to rapidly switch between presets and preview them. The simple keyboard shortcut that allows me to rapidly change between my altered photo and the original RAW shot is perhaps my favorite feature, allowing for easy comparisons when editing.

Nachteile:

There aren't many things that Adobe Lightroom does poorly. Lightroom occasionally has long photo export times, which is the only drawback I can think of. For example, exporting a batch of 50 photographs can sometimes  take up to an hour or more. It's not a major concern because I'll just be leaving my computer for a few minutes, but I'd like to see speedier photo exporting, or one that works better on computers with less RAM.

Premium Image editing software

Kommentare: I had a fantastic experience with the app as I do lots of image editing work and need professional-level tools to work on high-definition images. The app provides me a platform to create content and these contents are used for posters and online ads for my business. All thanks to adobe lightroom for giving me some pro-level image editing experience.

Vorteile:

The best thing about the software is that it has premium-level image editing tools like masking and Image optimizer. One feature which I always use is the recommended presets that lightroom provides, they are so amazing that you won't need to do anything and lightroom will do all the work by recommending self-edited presets and trust me all of these presets will be worth exploring.

Nachteile:

Everything is great about the software but the main problem is its price. It is a high-cost app if you buy it's premium and also the windows version is a little difficult to understand as it has lots of professional-level image editing tools and it will take a lot of time for a user to get comfortable with the software interface.

Great for Batch Editing & Quick Edits

Kommentare: Lightroom used to be all I used for editing images before I was introduced to the power of Adobe Photoshop's actions (both on the Adobe Creative Cloud), but nevertheless, Lightroom is great for quick edits and batch editing. I can't possibly do the finer detailed edits on hundreds of photos from an event, so that's where Lightroom comes in handy. I can still have quality image edits through Lightroom and simply use my favorite shots from the event to do more of the labor-intensive edits in Photoshop that give more of the "wow" factor. In that way, both Lightroom and Photoshop complement each other very nicely.

Vorteile:

I really like how quick and easy it is to use Lightroom. I've used it now for around 11 years and really enjoy the ease of use. In my opinion, it's a super easy software for beginners to learn from versus Adobe's more recognizable program, Photoshop. One of my favorite features with Lightroom has always been the easy-to-save presets. You can adjust the vibrance, saturation, highlights, and other features to your liking and save the settings under a preset that you can return to later. This makes it super easy for batch editing and for quick edits you need to make to an image.

Nachteile:

The features are lacking compared to Adobe's other program on their Creative Cloud, Photoshop. Photoshop has about everything you can possibly think of to tweak an image. So many times, I will edit my images first using foundational presets in Lightroom, then, I'll take my favorite photos from the bunch and spend more time on them using the more detailed features in Photoshop. Another con is the loading time. Maybe it's because I have a number of files saved on my Lightroom or because of the numerous saved presets...whatever the reason, the load time takes pretty long for Lightroom versus other software programs I have on my desktop.

Review of Lightroom

Kommentare: Overall, Lightroom is a great app, it saves me from a lot of stress by helping me edit multiple images at the same time and also with the bulk export function

I really like that Lightroom has both the system software and the mobile application because it really helps improve picture quality and even as a beginner using the app, you can get a lot of things done as it is very User friendly. I can say anywhere that with Lightroom even if the image was initially wrong you can make the necessary changes and make it just right. One thing I like about the system software is how you can edit multiple images at once

Nachteile:

I feel that the software can be improved, normally you can edit multiple images at once but the edit you can do to multiple images is limited. If it can be improved it'll make the app really better

One of the best RAW converter & photolibrary programs available

Kommentare: LR used to be my main RAW conversion software for years and photo library organising tool until I discovered Capture One which suits my workflow better. I still use Lightroom every now and then if I don't get colours or results I want with C1. For mobile editing of RAW files I always use Lightroom CC mobile version. Learning curve with Lightroom is not as steep compared to C1. As a summary it is powerful photo editing and organising tool and one could almost say industry standard with loads of plugins and presets available.

Vorteile:

Photolibrary tools of LR are the best in the industry. Key wording and organising library is easier than say in C1. Tight integration with other Adobe products makes roundtrips to Photoshop from Lightroom a breeze and sharpening tool is also great. There are more and cheaper presets available for Lightroom than for Capture One. With one subscription one gets Lightroom Classic (desktop) and Lightroom CC (cloud base) + mobile options for the latter, which is great to have options to choose from to fit ones needs.

Nachteile:

As such it is expensive software and I don't like subscription model of payments. However bundled with Photoshop in Photography plan LR is kind of an extra if one needs Photoshop for editing anyway. Some other software, especially Capture One, render colours better than LR for my taste.

Best software for profesional photographers

Kommentare: it is the perfect software for me, as a wedding photographer. without which I would not be able to deliver quality materials to clients exactly according to my vision, in a short time.

Vorteile:

it is very easy to use, intuitive. the management of each color in the raw photos is simply beyond words. masks are a big plus over other editing programs

Nachteile:

the heal tool should be rethought a little, because you cannot heal over a part that has already been cleaned with this tool. the order of the photos after export is not kept as the order in the development library, although I tried to put a name or metadata

My photos have a much better quality after I met Lightromm.

Kommentare: The App is indispensable for my work today. I love using it and recommend it to all my friends. It has completely improved the result of my photos, I love this app and won't stop using it!

Vorteile:

I love the Lightroom App. I use it daily, I can no longer post any photos before I use it. It has completely changed the quality of my photos. It is very easy to use, the tools are easy to find, it allows you to save the settings I used on one photo so I can use them on others, it is just amazing.

Nachteile:

I already like the App a lot, but just to improve it could have even more presets.

It's a must

Kommentare: I can successfully organize my pictures, i can retouch and perfect them with ease, I can go from desktop to mobile and pick up the work and continue - I like this the most.

Vorteile:

If you are a photographer, be that on a professional basis or a hobbyist, you can't expect to create awesome shots with the camera only. A good post-processing software is needed. Lightroom is the "industry standard", every other editor is compared against it, in the features, in organizing tools, sharing features, with Adobe family software integrations

Nachteile:

It's a little annoying, that it needs a little too much resources, cpu and ram. I had to switch hardware because of this. The 20gb cloud space offered in the basic subscription is too little.

the best image editor

Kommentare: It is a complex application, mainly due to its many functions, which also makes it a very complete application for editing. In addition to exporting everything with great quality. I highly recommend it, if you have difficulties at first, persist until you understand each feature, it's worth it

Vorteile:

I wouldn't say that the application is easy to use, especially for those who are not familiar with image editing, myself, when I installed it, two years ago, I found it quite difficult and I looked for many videos on youtube that could help me. But once you get the hang of it, get more familiar with the tools, you won't want to edit anywhere else. I find the application very complete, with several functions, with the option of filters saved by the user, which make it very easy as well. One thing that might seem small, but I really like it and haven't seen it in similar apps, is the option to "zero" the edit I was doing quite easily.

Nachteile:

it's been a while since, in the "mask" option you could select only the sky, or a "subject". I only managed to do this once! Every other time the app restarts and I lose everything I've edited. So, this function, which is not that new, doesn't work on my device, nor on my husband's device.
