Vorteile:

Furthermore, Asana's extremely adjustable and attractive GUI makes interacting with it a lot more enjoyable. It was well worth the money.

Nachteile:

When you set up a new account, you naturally are opted in to the email notifications, which can be really annoying and a pain to remove. My only suggestion to the Asana team would be to change that.

Für mich eine Betrugsmasche

1.0 letztes Jahr

Awesome software but we couldn't get people to adopt it.

4.0 vor 2 Monaten

Kommentare: It's a great piece of software and in another organisation I think I could have happily adopted it. However, it wasn't the right fit for our organisation or our users.

Vorteile:

Asana's free plan is very generous, and would have covered our main needs. Their commercial pricing is also fair and provides good value for money. As an organisation, we work across multiple offices and countries and good project management was always a bit of a gap. I was very enthusiastic about Asana and loved the depth of features, particular the granular tracking, and the good integration with external tools (we have worked hard to try and connect our workflows together). The ability to communicate at multiple levels within projects was also something I found very appealing. We spent quite a bit of time setting up projects as part of the testing process, and I enjoyed the ability to do it properly (compared to the very complicated set of google sheets we had been using prior to this)

Nachteile:

The biggest gap we found was that for users not steeped in project management or project management tools the learning curve was too high. They either used it superficially, or avoided using it all. It was not a criticism of the software per se, as the UI is well-thought out and there are lots of support resources. However for an organisation like ours, we needed something far simpler for our users, as technological resistance is always a challenge. WE may not have used it to it's full extent, but it would have been useful to have the ability to simplify some of the viewsm as not all users needed or wanted the depths of controls presented to them. I also found the reporting slightly frustrating. It wasn't actually a core feature we needed, but the reports that did exist were sometimes frustratingly incomplete.

LOVE Asana

5.0 vor 2 Monaten Neu

Kommentare: Overall, Asana is INCREDIBLE. I love the ease of everything. Once it's set up, it requires very little maintenance. I've used Asana as a CRM, ATS, Marketing Management system, project manager, employee management, etc. It's amazing to automate tasks and for project management. It's great to implement in companies (as long as they're willing and open to using it). Highly recommend.

Vorteile:

I am personally a big fan of Asana. My previous employer used Slack, and I hated it - it seemed clunky and hard to find things. I did a lot of research to find a better system for files, organization, project management, etc. I found Asana and fell in love. It's very similar to Monday.com. Templates are provided to make it easier to set up. There is a brief learning curve, but it's pretty easy. If you're super tech-savvy, then it takes time to set up exactly how you want, but once you do, then it's minimal maintenance. You can even automate tasks and have it integrated with other apps that you use! I love the sleek look of Asana and the overall ease. It's saved me so much time and helped keep me organized.

Nachteile:

Only a few things that I'm not a big fan of. If you have a big team, then it gets costly pretty quickly - it's $10 - $31/per user per month, depending on the plan. Another thing is that it does take some time to set up IF you are very particular and want to automate a lot of tasks and projects. There are not many cons, considering most project management software takes time to set up and can be costly.

Fine, mostly

3.0 vor 3 Wochen Neu

Kommentare: It does what it does 'fine', it wouldn't be so widespread and one of the go to options if it didn't, however, it suffers from what any product like this does, and is that you can end up spending more time scheduling and rescheduling the workload than actually completing the work if you're not careful

Vorteile:

Fairly well known so good chance new hires come with a basic level of understanding from previous employment, not a massively high barrier to entry to get started with the basics, but some more advanced features are a little esoteric.

Nachteile:

Support's ropey and integration seems to be harder work than it needs be, documentation can be outdated, misleading and straight up wrong in some instances. Missing some fairly obvious features that're repeatedly requested in the support forum but instead we get something kind of random and mostly useless that I guess a big client paid for and they've rolled it out to everyone to make it look like ongoing development is there regardless of effectiveness whilst ignoring community demand for things that'd be actually useful to a wider base.

Manage projects online and collaborate easily with the Asana solution

4.0 vor 3 Monaten

Kommentare: In the end, I recommend researching and trying Asana for yourself to determine if it's the right project management tool for your needs.

Vorteile:

I've used the Asana solution to manage several projects over the course of my career. From experience, I can say that this tool guarantees ease of use, allowing me to delegate tasks and track the progress of my team's work without getting in the way. The software enables my staff to meet deadlines for the completion of activities. In short, thanks to this online project management and collaboration solution, we've been able to increase our productivity.

Nachteile:

Despite all the good things I think of the Asana management tool, I find that its interface could be less cluttered with options, as this aspect often poses difficulties for my team members. Indeed, my collaborators have difficulty finding and using some of the platform's specific functionalities.

Good things can also be free

5.0 vor 4 Wochen Neu

Kommentare: Asana is one of the best alternatives that can currently be found in the project manager category when looking for a solution as a small or medium-sized business. It has everything you need, a large number of integrations, an excellent free tier, and paid plans that are within the reach of any small business. The user interface is simple and intuitive, so anyone, whether or not they have experience with this type of application, will feel comfortable navigating the options available to them.

Vorteile:

Asana is a project management application that manages to delight its users with a free tier that shows all the features that any small business could need. Of course, after enjoying its simple and intuitive user interface and finding Asana an excellent tool for managing tasks and projects, both alone and in a team, the next step is the payment layer, where Asana also helps us, presenting low-cost options that do not suffocate small businesses.

Nachteile:

One of the problems, not only with Asana but with almost all project managers, is that many of the main options are diluted among the sea of possibilities they offer. For users who are new to using this type of application, this can cause stress and end up making their work less efficient. Of course, this is not just an issue for Asana; it is for almost all applications in this category; they want to do everything because the projects are usually complex, and the user who use them are very diverse.

Flexible tool, good product / R&D focus. Bad sales experience

4.0 vor 2 Monaten Neu

Kommentare: Buyer beware of any commitments made by the sales team.

Vorteile:

Asana was selected in our organization because it provides a good balance between out of the box capability and is configurable without death by configuration. For daily task management, it has been a big hit with our team, with multiple additional departments requesting access early in the roll-out plan to manage their daily work. For our projects, it improved visibility of progress and has contributed to a better defined / more predictable project plan and outcomes. We've also had several positive interactions with the product team by participating in early releases on new features that were important to our company.

Nachteile:

We've had a few challenges:* Translating our project management templates into Asana required significant rework to find the right level of task detail without micro managing every activity* There is no short unique identifier on individual tasks. It makes it hard to talk about the work that is captured in Asana in our development process.* Account team is not stable and only cares about upsell. We've worked with several people already in the first year+ of use. With each replacement, an intro call is arranged to talk about what we as the customer can do for them in terms of buying more licenses. * Pricing was not transparent with a bit of bait and switch. Volume discount provided to win our business was removed in the first renewal. Take it or leave it attitude from account rep leaves us with an incredibly bad taste in our mouth.

Asana Overview in helping NGO`s manage their work

5.0 vor 4 Wochen Neu

Kommentare: My overall experience with Asana has been very positive. It has transformed the way my team manages projects, improving our efficiency and communication. The ability to track progress, assign tasks, and set deadlines has made a significant difference in our productivity. Asana has become an indispensable part of our daily workflow.

Vorteile:

Asana's interface is incredibly user-friendly, making it a breeze to manage projects, tasks, and deadlines. The collaboration features are robust and allow for seamless teamwork. I also appreciate the customizability and the ability to create various project views, such as lists, boards, and timelines. The integration with other tools and applications is a big plus.

Nachteile:

The learning curve may be steep for some users who are new to project management software. It would be great to have more comprehensive reporting features and advanced task dependencies in the future.

Excellent for self-tracking or collaborative work

5.0 vor 3 Jahren

Kommentare: Like I mentioned, Asana is one of the tools I naturally use everyday, and often encourage other colleagues or students to use as well. It is my to-do list as well as my project tracker, collaboration tracker, and "don't forget to do this/brainstorms for the future" tracker

Vorteile:

I love that Asana can act as a daily task/project manager but is comprehensive enough to plan for future projects and collaborative work. It is a tool that is intuitive enough that I want to use it every day, but not so simple that I only use it for to-do lists. Any time I start collaborative work with other people at different institutions, I always push for us to use Asana as the organizing platform.

Nachteile:

The subscription and use of the paid services could be more clear; it isn't easily understandable who has to pay for a subscription if the use of it will be shared across people from different institutions. Also, the pricing settings could be more accessible for 1 or 2-person teams, because at the moment it is mostly geared for groups and businesses (which admittedly makes sense)

Asana Changed my Entire Approach to Work

5.0 vor 2 Jahren

Kommentare: This software helped me keep my job. With numerous complex tasks and projects and rapidly changing priorities, follow-up tasks were slipping through the cracks. Once I started using Asana, I felt confident to take on the most complex projects and job duties without becoming overwhelmed.

Vorteile:

It's easy to jump right in and start working with this, even while you are still learning the interface. It does take a little time to get to know the program so that you know how you want to organize your tasks and projects. I was using lists and spreadsheets to manage my projects previously and some aspects were slipping through the cracks. It allows for easy use by multiple team members without overlap or stepping on each others work. It has completely changed my ability to manage every detail of a project and has substantial flexibility to adapt it as you see fit. There are so many things I like about this software that it's hard to name just one thing that I like most.

Nachteile:

I would like to be able to see the Project that a subtask is part of in the "My Tasks" view instead of that field being blank. It may be due to using the free version that this is not available. I also can't view the priorities in the "My Tasks" view, but I worked around that by creating "tags" with colored numbers, red 1, yellow 2, green 3, etc.

Fantastic task management software!

5.0 vor 3 Jahren

Kommentare: I started using this software at a previous job then, when starting here, quickly found out that not all task-management tools are created equal. The one we were using was not very functional and people tasks were constantly getting lost in the shuffle. The other website designer that started after me had also used Asana before so we started using it to manage the development of the site we were designing. We told another team about it and they started using it as well. It eventually caught on and we convinced the higher-ups to purchase an upgraded plan and implemented it company wide. There are so many great features. It's impossible to narrow down my favorite. But I will say that it makes managing tasks so easy and helps my addled brain stay organized and focused. There are different modes for how you view your tasks allowing users to choose one that they prefer. For example, there's a calendar view, a list view, a Trello-type layout, and more. I also LOVE that it's offers so much flexibility in how tasks are organized. You can set up different teams and assign certain people to be in those teams. Within the teams you can create projects, then breaks those down into tasks. Within the teams you can create multiple levels of subtasks - for example, a subtasks inside a subtasks inside the main task. This is a really great feature for me, being a website designer, because there are so many steps involved in creating a site.

Vorteile:

What's not to like?! The customer service is great, there are multiple training videos to help you learn about all the different features and how to use them, it's GREAT for staying organized when you have a million different projects you are working on at once, it makes delegating projects and tasks very easy... Beyond all the great task-related features, one of my favorite things is the quirky animations - when marking complete on a task you'll occasionally get a celebratory animation (kind of a geeky, digital pat on the back) my favorite being a unicorn that flies across your screen. This is obviously not something that's necessary or a way to help users stay more organized, but it is fun and adds a little extra flair to the software. (Yes, it's the little things that excite me. 😆)

Nachteile:

As with any software that is customizable and has a lot of features, there is a learning curve to using Asana. There are so many different settings and features, it can take a while to learn the ins and outs of using it. But, as I already said previously, they provide a plethora of training videos and have excellent customer service when you need to contact them. One specific thing I wish was different is how the repeating tasks are set up. As of now, when a task is set to repeat, the next task doesn't show up until the previous one has been marked as complete. It would be nice to see all the repeating tasks (especially in the calendar format) so you can get an accurate view of all the tasks you have coming up for the upcoming months. It's not a major inconvenience, but something I would suggest that the developers implement in a future update.

Empower a manager to take on larger teams and projects

5.0 vor 3 Jahren

Kommentare: I could not run my business without ASANA. We develop software for a living. It is the SINGLE most important tool that we own. I would go back to coding in notepad. If it would allow us to keep ASANA.

Vorteile:

Asana provides a solid interface that empowers me as a manager to manage more team members more efficiently. This software provides time-saving resources by allowing stakeholders to get their own project updates and track the project's progress without interrupting the team executing the project. It provides: - Many ways to plan and manage - A clear view of the task load on each team member - Time planning to keep projects on deadline

Nachteile:

Asana provides so many ways of doing things that every person who sets up a project can do so in a unique way. This requires a clear organizational strategy from the start. The issue: - Multiple ways of achieving the same outcome - Confusion on how to work within different project structure approaches Important to note: These cons are primarily a result of poor onboarding. They are not the fault of the software or ASANA directly. My encouragement is for anyone implementing this project to plan and test projects with a very small number of team members. Only once the entire organization can be trained to create and manage projects according to your prescribed workflow should the software be opened up. You must engage with ASANA's guides early. As well as plan and provide training every employee to see the best ASANA experience.

Asana helps me stay organized and on track, it's not always perfect but it's always improving

5.0 vor 3 Jahren

Kommentare: I use Asana a daily basis in my work and personal life. I get my thoughts laid out and am sure to enter all of the tasks I need to keep on my radar so they are out of my head and I can sleep at night! I love how I can also
I love the basic set up of Asana. I had been using it for years in my jobs, my business, and even my personal life. I love how well it helped me keep track of my tasks and projects. It helps me see what I need from different views but also keep items on my radar in my own projects while keeping them on the radar on my teammates projects.
I love all of the features it has and keeps adding. And most of all I really appreciate that even though it is not a perfect tool it is constantly improving. Their Rules (automations) seem like a great start as it is a new feature, I'm already making use of it. It's very helpful that tasks can live in multiple projects and that you can switch from different views (previously you had to pick one and could not change it).
The custom fields come in handy all of the time!

Vorteile:

I love the basic set up and that you can switch between different views (when previously you had to choose one). Portfolios are great for keeping an eye on multiple projects. Having the ability to add tasks to multiple projects is a big plus and very helpful so that tasks can be seen from various perspectives. It's helpful also having the tag feature to group related tasks from various projects. It's great that I can add emails straight to the projects as tasks and it's clickable so if I need to get more info or reply to the email its easy to find and open. Custom fields are incredibly helpful so we can get the customized information that we need. Forms I a great feature as well though I haven't been able to get much use of them as they are right now.

Nachteile:

There are minor items that I'm not satisfied with. Automations/rules are very limited & it seems unnecessary to limit the # per project. The triggers & actions are also pretty limited but I understand this is a newer feature. I wish they'd incorporate tags into the automations. It also seems that the Gmail extension has not been updated in a long time. I wish some of the features were incorporated. For instance, I'd like to note what section of a project a task goes in while saving it. It's not very helpful if I need to go & find it in Asana to edit it. I wish there were a better way to work with templates, I don't like that templates look like regular projects in your list. It'd also be great if we could have templates for tasks as well. I wish there was a way to organize your favorites, perhaps by having sections. It'd be helpful if milestones could have a start & end date. The inbox is a bit overwhelming, it seems to capture everything & while you can just focus on the important items (like mentions) it still feels cluttered when you're on the main view & see every little update. Reporting could be improved on. It's a bit glitchy whenever you make a change to the report, you have to resave & also the only format that is helpful to me is the CSV but I wish it would produce a Google sheet & I wish we could control what fields get exported. I wish forms had more conditional logic as I can't really use them well as is.

Review for Asana

5.0 letztes Jahr

Kommentare: I truly appreciate it. I have used it in my previous company and I also use it in my personal life. I tried to introduce it to my husband for work and our personal use, as well as my new job but people are finding it difficult to use. I believe in it and want to use it even more at work but without the other staff using it, I can only use it as a task list for myself - still satisfied with that though, I love it! Overall, Asana is a great tool for planning and organizing, I will always support it!

Vorteile:

I really appreciate the tracking features, Asana has allowed me to stay on top of my work and responsibilities by way of some very supportive features. I like being able to create checklists and checking off tasks that have been completed. I like that I can use this to plan out future events and use it for brainstorming. I also like you can set reminders of tasks but still be able to edit them.

Nachteile:

I wish I was able to assign multiple people to one task. Also, Asana is not super user-friendly to those that are not used to it. I learned about Asana through my previous job, I tried to implement it with my new coworkers but they are not comfortable using it as it was not as user-friendly for them. I would suggest providing how-to videos for users to follow as support isn't strong either.
