Nicht ohne Grund das meistgenutzte CMS für Websites

Vorteile:

Open Source Software mit der Möglichkeit der Nachrüstung aufgrund der Verfügbarkeit tausender Plugins und Themes. Ständige Weiterentwicklung durch die Wordpress-Community. Mich überzeugt WordPress voll und ganz.

Nachteile:

Ich fremdele hin und wieder noch mit dem Block-Editor Gutenberg, aber er wurde seit der Einführung schon deutlich verbessert.

Solides Tool, das weit verbreitet ist

Kommentare: Solides Tool, welches sich besonders für Anfänger eignet und viel RaumFür Design und Development bietet.

Vorteile:

- Benutzerfreundlich - Übersichtlich - sehr weit verbreitet und ist vom Aufbau ähnlich zu anderen CM Systemen, daher einfach zu erlernen - gut für Anfänger geeignet

Nachteile:

- bugged oft- pages aktualisieren sich oft nicht

Schnell installiert, viele Funktionen, durch Plugins gut erweiterbar

Kommentare: Insgesamt bleibe ich Wordpress noch eine Weile treu, schaue mir aber auch andere System genau an. Denn in manchen Bereichen dauern die Weiterentwicklungen bei Wordpress leider recht lange.

Vorteile:

Insgesamt überzeugt Wordpress mit einer einfachen Installation, vielen Erweiterungen und dem guten Editor. Damit ist es für mich die erste Wahl beim Bloggen, da ich die Software direkt auf meinem Server installieren kann.

Nachteile:

Leider gibt es von Hause aus keinen Front-End-Editor und der neue Gutenberg-Editor ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auch die Performance leidet mit jedem Update, hier gibt es leider mittlerweile deutlich performantere System auf dem Markt.

Vorteile:

Viele Tools um die Inhalte zu bearbeiten. Man kann jder Zeit daten hinzufügen, löschen oder bearbeiten. Zugriff ist jeder Zeit möglich und von überall ist auch möglich.

Nachteile:

Ich habe gar keine Nachteile herausgefunden. Von mir aus alles ist TOP :)

Für mich nicht geeignet

Kommentare: Gute und im Prinzip kostenlose Software für den einfachen Gebrauch. Je größer die Anforderungen, desto intensiver muss man sich damit befassen.

Vorteile:

Wordpress ist kostenlos und man hat quasi unendliche Möglichkeiten bei der Nutzung.

Nachteile:

Updates, Updates, Updates. Je mehr Plug Ins man verwendet, desto öfter muss man Updates installieren. Je mehr Websites man betreut, desto nerviger wird der Zeitaufwand dafür. Die Verbesserungen benötige ich jedoch nur selten.

Nach wie vor eines der besten Redaktionssysteme

Kommentare: Insgesamt schätze ich Wordpress und die Community dahinter sehr. Denn dieses Open Source-Produkt kann es mit vielen kostenpflichtigen CMS aufnehmen.

Vorteile:

Es ist sehr flexibel erweiterbar und Texte lassen sich schnell veröffentlichen. Damit lassen sich einfache Landingpages, Blogs oder ganze Magazinseiten schnell aufsetzen und pflegen.

Nachteile:

Leider bietet WordPress von Hause aus erst ab der neusten Version einen visuellen Frontend-Editor. Dieser ist zudem sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Open-Source CMS für alle. Mit vielen Vorteilen und leider auch Nachteilen.

Kommentare: Super für Open-Source.
Schnell installiert, aber kompliziert zum Pflegen.

Vorteile:

Die Anzahl an Themen und Erweiterungen, superschnelle Installation, niedrige Kosten.

Nachteile:

Da es sehr verbreitet wird, wird es auch sehr oft von den Hackern angegriffen. Die Editoroberfläche ist ziemlich unübersichtlich.

WP Features

Kommentare: Da ich bereits mit WP vertraut bin, nutze ich es weiterhin. Für eine relativ einfache Webseite ist eine auch eine kostenfreie Version geeignet. Insgesamt bin ich mit der Nutzung zufrieden.

Vorteile:

Man kann es sich mit Hilfe von Video-Einleitungen aneignen. Es gibt zahlreiche kostenfreie Plugins und gute Theme-Vorlagen.

Nachteile:

Widgets sind etwas schwer zu verstehen. Die Backups sind auch etwas kompliziert. Die Objektgröße-Anpassungen funktionieren nicht immer wir gewünscht.

Alternativlos

Vorteile:

Erstelle einige Webseiten und bin immer wieder von der schnellen Bearbeitung begeistert.

Nachteile:

Es müssen für alle Funktionen eigene Plugins installiert werden

Einfach selbst für Laien

Vorteile:

Das Tool ist so selbsterklärend, dass selbst fachfremde Kollegen sich schnell zurechtzufinden.

Nachteile:

Jedes Mal wenn ein Update kommt fällt die Umgewöhnung schwer.

Vorteile:

Unsere Webseite in WordPress zu programmieren ist kinderleicht.

Nachteile:

Sehr häufige Updates nerven. Zumal die Änderungen sehr minimal sind

Vorteile:

Viele Plugins verfügbar, große Online-Community

Nachteile:

Teilweise etwas kompliziert Fehler zu suchen, wenn etwas nicht funktioniert.

I like adding and editing articles, as well as scheduling them. I appreciate how seamless it is to use, especially when adding categories.

Why we use Wordpress...although there aren't many other free options

Kommentare: Wordpress is fairly simple to navigate and we had over five websites built using their platform. We still use Wordpress, rather than Wix, GoDaddy etc, but the new Gutenberg update has caused us problems with updating our websites. The themes don't seem to work and Wordpress is constantly asking us to use WPBakery Page Builder which we don't need so it gets pretty annoying when you can't update properly.

Vorteile:

Wordpress is free to use and easy to understand as you get started on building your website for personal use of for a company. The options to customize the webiste using different themes is endless and Wordpress even give you some free templates to start with. Definitely a great place to start when building a website.

Nachteile:

Wordpress was a bit clunky to start with but it was fairly simple to navigate. They then updated it to Gutenberg and we've had more and more problems with updating our websites. It's free, easy-to-use and ideal for building great websites

WordPress is a website builder for everyone. You can without any experience in tech build a website for your self really fast, even the blog section is wonderful, easy to use and contains many great themes.

Nachteile:

there is nothing about WordPress that i would complain about

Kommentare: One of the best web platforms on the market, weather it is blog or e-comm shop, there is always easy solutions to find for yourself.

Vorteile:

Easy to operate and publish content on the web. We use it on dozens of website throughout the years, easy to deploy and friendly for clients to manage themselves.

Nachteile:

Integration with cheap plugins is sth be aware of. Causing lot of issues and conflicts. If premium versions are utilized it is a good option.

WordPress for Web Developers

Vorteile:

As a Web Developer, I work with WordPress on daily basis. The best part about it is that it's highly customisable and you can integrate a huge variety of plugins to modify its default behavior, and if not, then create your own custom plugin. You don't need coding at all to build websites and in just a few hours you can set up a whole ecommerce site.

Nachteile:

Sometimes when the site crashes, wordpress doesn't show the exact error that is causing it. The platform just goes blank and you have to go deep into each and every plugin to see what is causing the problem.

Nachteile:

The default block editor is not user friendly like page builder like elementor.

Kommentare: my overall experience with WordPress is very good and I really suggest everyone.

Vorteile:

It really helps us to create websites easily. Especially when you deploy your WordPress application as Docker container. You can immediately start designing your website after it.

Nachteile:

More plugins for customizing your website can be added into WordPress ecosystem. But since it's an opensource tool, I cannot expect huge amount of plugins.

There is a reason it is the most commonly used

Kommentare: I've been on teams that have built and managed sites doing tens of millions of visits a month on heavily customized instances of WordPress, all the way down to personal pet projects that get single digit visits a month. It's the only CMS I consistently recommend.

Vorteile:

The ecosystem built around WordPress is second to none. Every front end developer is familiar with WordPress. There are multiple plugin options for just about anything you could ever want to do. Most importantly, it's open source and therefore free. Some people are deterred by open source, but WordPress powers a third of the Internet, it isn't going anywhere.

Nachteile:

It can be a bit of a pain in the butt to do certain things. For example, if you want to use it as a CMS for a larger site and not just a blog, the out of the box configuration needs customization. Also, they recently switched to a fundamentally new way of doing things "Gutenberg" and it is not without its warts. Over time this will improve.

Wish is was simpler to use

Kommentare: My overall experience with wordpress is good I still use it for my business, great features but a little to difficult to use especially for someone with little to no knowledge on designing and customizing a website for their business.

Vorteile:

There are great features in Wordpress, the free website is very useful. I used the free and paid plans. I think wordpress for me the free website sometimes comes like a paid website I am still able to reach people, well maybe not as much as the paid website. But it is still very useful.

Nachteile:

It gets a bit complicated to use at times. It took me quite sometime to actually figure out how to use it and I have and still use wordpress for 2 years and no doubt I still have a difficult time using it for my business.

Making a Website That You Control Has Never Been Easier

Kommentare: I have been very happy with WordPress. I taught myself how to navigate the platform and there are so many great resources out there for people to learn.

Vorteile:

How quickly and easily I can set up a site for someone and teach them to manage it on their own. I hate in my industry that may developers sometimes hold sites for ransom more or less.

Nachteile:

There is a learning curve to it but once you learn the basics you are set! I love that they offer so many plug-ins as well. You can do things that used to take a fortune to get coded all yourself.
