Sehr guter Editor mit vielen Möglichkeiten, sogar eigene Makros bzw. dynamische Inhalte sind möglich. Zudem macht das Plugin System die Plattform Confluence dynamisch seinen Anforderungen entsprechend erweiterbar.

Nachteile:

Das Pricing. Wer mit den Basisfunktionen nicht auskommt, muss häufig für Plugins nochmal in die Tasche greifen. Egal ob self hosted oder Cloud.

Nachteile:

Es ist etwas überladen an Funktionen. Zum Filesharing gibt es meiner Meinung nach bessere Tools und Confluence sollte aufpassen, dass sie nicht versuchen alle Features zu implementieren und so ihre Software zu überladen

Umfangreiches Packet aber nicht immer voll ausgeschöpft in grösseren Unternehmen

Vorteile:

Für die App braucht man keine wirkliche Eingewöhnungszeit. Mann kann sehr schnell Seiten erstellen und zur Kollaboration mit anderen verwenden. Die Integration mit Jira (gleicher Hersteller) ist natürlich hervorragend. Somit kann man schnell gewisse Tasks verlinken und deren Status auf einer Confluence Seite anzeigen. Wenn man ein PDF in Confluence hochlädt, können alle Beteiligen dieses Dokument kommentieren. Das ist sehr hilfreich und erspart zusätzliche Nutzung von Adobe etc.

Nachteile:

Gemeinsames editieren mit mehren Personen einer Seite geschieht nicht in Echtzeit. Das frustriert ohne Ende. Man vergisst auch schnell, dass man im Bearbeitungsmodus war was schnell zu Verwirrungen führen kann. Confluence hat sehr viele Funktionen aber diese sind nicht immer für alle Mitarbeiter freigeschaltet. Ich nehme an manche davon sind kostenpflichtige Zusatzmodule? Die Kategorisierung von Content (Seiten, Unterseiten, Navigation) ist nicht immer intuitiv.

Kommentare: Ich habe den Eindruck ein System vor mir zu haben, dass ausgereift ist und weiterentwickelt werden sollte, um auch Tabellenfunktionen (ähnlich Visualisierung bei Gliffy) anzubieten

Vorteile:

Ein übersichtliches System, um Dokumente anzulegen, anzupassen und zu verwalten. Ich prüfe derzeit weitere Möglichkeiten dieses tollen Systems. Hier hilft mir der Free-Tarif für Confluence, der bis zu 10 Benutzer abdeckt, wobei für mich die Useranzahl auch kleiner sein könnte, zwei sollten es aber mind. sein um gemensames Arbeiten testen zu können.

Nachteile:

Confluence bietet z.B. auch den Export in Word. Was mir fehlt wäre Unterstützung wenigstens rudimentär Excelinhalte (nicht Formeln) einzulesen oder Tabellen als Excel rudimentär auszugeben.

Wissensverwaltung mit großen Mängeln

Vorteile:

Grenzenlose Wissensdatenbank mit einfacher Möglichkeit, eigene Dinge zu erfassen und festzuhalten...

Nachteile:

....was aber dazu führt, dass das ganze System sehr aufgeblasen, unübersichtlich und schwer zu navigieren ist. Die Suchfunktion ist eher Lotteriespiel, als zielführend.

Sehr gut als Datenbank und Neue Kollegen StepbyStep Anleitungen zu geben

Das man sich eine Wissendatenbank aufbauen kann. Ich benutze sie für Prozesse oder Anleitung

Nachteile:

An manchen Stellen finde ich das Desing komisch, nicht hübsch anzu sehen

Gängigstes Dokumentierungstool

Vorteile:

Für haben all unsere fachliche Doku in confluence und führen dort unser Wiki. Ich bin sehr zufrieden

Nachteile:

Formatierung kann lästig sein und könnte verbessert werden.

Platzhirsch im Wissensmanagement

Vorteile:

Einfache Verwendung für Personen die mit Office-Applikationen umgehen können. Strukturierter Aufbau und vorgegebene Formatierungen helfen bei der Übersichtlichkeit.

Nachteile:

Durch die Preispolitik hat das Produkt an attraktivität verloren. Auch die Cloud-Strategie ist nicht für jeden das Beste.

Super Tool für Scrum Teams

Vorteile:

Kompatibilität mit Jira, sowie einfache Erstellung der Dokumentation für die Reportings im Scrum-team. Mehrere Personen können an Dokumenten zusammen arbeiten.

Nachteile:

Filter funktionieren nicht immer, einige Probleme mit Postgre Datenbank.

Sehr viele Funktionen und Tools für die Zusammenarbeit aber trotzdem soll noch besser sein für ein Unternehmen.

Nachteile:

Der Software ist nicht übersichtlich, also man benötigt für die Einarbeitung mehr Zeit als üblich. Außerdem von mir aus kostet mehr Geld als solche Software

Es ist kinderleicht zu bedienen weil es sehr intuitiv aufgebaut ist.

Nachteile:

Zuerst haben die Verlinkungen aus Rechtegründen nicht funktioniert und meine Kollegen und ich wurden nicht benachrichtigt sodass sich das Projekt etwas verzögert hat

Honestly, they've fixed my biggest cons, like storage space (now you can buy a bigger plan) and they keep adding more things. I think my colleagues would say there's still a learning curve, which is understandable, and I think Confluence has been changing the interface with more tips and features for new users (which is sometimes confusing for long-time users like me, LOL) One big con is still the limited integration with MS Office. Confluence fully replaces the need for Word in most cases, so that's not a big deal, but I wish the Excel integration and/or the table functionality was better. Also, printing is pretty tough when you have tables.

So, here's the thing. I feel like Confluence definitely serves a great purpose. I like that it's essentially a one stop shop for finding any documentation needed within my organzation and company.

Nachteile:

I think the UI and the UX is lacking. While I think my organization keeps things pretty organized in terms of how items are grouped, I think it can come across as things aren't actually organized because the UI makes it seems like everything (documents inside and outside of our organization, all within the same company) is lumped in one place. Additionally, I think the search feature could be better where additional filters could be instituted to ensure you're searching within your own organization's documents versus the entire company. Although, I'm not sure if that's a Confluence thing or the way my company has set it up. Another thing I don't like is the editing and creating documents within Confluence, and again that's a UX thing.
