Great tool for web analytics

Vorteile:

It's a really well-rounded tool with lots of features, from basic website metrics and ranking to keyword analysis and cross-shopping. It's extremaly intuitive and easy to use and you can download all the results in PDF or Excel format or download ready-made visualizations as pictures. Results look great on presentations for clients and give lots of insights on how clients are using their websites compared to their competitors.

Nachteile:

Not all the features are available from the start and you need to buy additional "packages" of features, such as separate geographies etc., which can be very costly.

Kommentare: I've been using SimilarWeb for a few years now, partially with free accounts and partially with paid accounts, so I was able to explore many of its features. It's great for gathering business intelligence, from analyzing competitor websites and audiences to identifying potential partners and studying customer journeys.
The interface is very friendly, support is prompt, and the data provided is pretty accurate. It's invaluable for partner recruitment and evaluation.

Vorteile:

It's one of the best business intelligence and competitive analysis tools I've tried.

Nachteile:

I wish it were more affordable or offered a way to integrate features available with Team and Enterprise packages into the Starter or Professional packages, for one-man-show businesses that could use the features but can't afford the costs. But, truth be told, it does offer great value for the money.

The customer support at Similarweb is excellent. The team is incredibly responsive, quick to assist, and always eager to accommodate bespoke requests. I appreciate the regular check-ins, where they take the time to walk us through platform updates and introduce us to new features. They also spotlight trend reports which has been a game-changer, offering us insights that are relevant and actionable to build into our client recommendations. The personal attention from the team makes the experience feel more tailored and valuable.

Nachteile:

One limitation I’ve encountered is the inability to create regions and compare multiple markets side by side within the dashboards. Currently, the platform only allows you to view data for a single market at a time, which can make cross-market analysis more challenging. Having the ability to compare different markets simultaneously would elevate the tool's efficiency.

Kommentare: Its decent. I use it on a daily basis to help guide decisions but I don't use it to be the main deciding factor. If any platform can become the main decision maker, then you know its the best. Right now SW is more like a guide rather than a confirmation.

Similarweb -- Helpful, but sometimes I get lost

While sometimes the statistics seem to be skewed, it is helpful to start directional conversations with my clients about growth and the competitive landscape.

Vorteile:

There is a ton of helpful information about all aspects of the digital landscape. Additionally, the visualizations are helpful when directionally providing competitive insights to clients.

Nachteile:

Often, I find myself lost in all the data provided and am unsure what the most vital aspects to call attention to are. Also, I frequently want to view mobile and desktop data together, but in numerous graphs - there is no way to break the data out in this manner.

I like the output of the platform - it's a quick and easy win for clients, they love it. If I am ever unsure of how to do anything, I'll message Daniel and he is so helpful and responsive.

Nachteile:

There's a lot of features I don't use that much so would prefer to opt in for a personality interface which only shows me what I use/would be likely to use.

As a Digital Media Manager, I love using SimilarWeb for competitive analysis. It helps us understand what strategies our client's competitors are running. I also use it to help reinforce success stories to clients.

Nachteile:

Historically, Similarweb hasn't had as much creative insight into programmatic ads, but that has recently changed and it has been a reliable source for finding examples of competitor ads.

Data analytics, helpful with keyword searching, and easy to navigate around. This helps with client media monitoring and finding trends to talk about with the media.

Nachteile:

Not much I don't like - I just don't use everything (sales, stock features, etc.). They seem interesting but are not needed for me much.

Competitor analysis

Vorteile:

Easy to find features in the new UI + set up a peer group of 5 to conduct website analysis. Good coverage across many metrics for a large set of countries. Also has mobile vs web splits which can be helpful sometimes.

Nachteile:

The limitation that you can only select a peer group of 5 websites at a time.

SimilarWeb review

Kommentare: Overall the extension is a quick way to get valuable data, such as monthly traffic, bounce rate... I use it to gather insights from eCommerce websites to understand their performance and the type of user experience they provide.

I love using the extension and quickly get insights about a specific website

I think that the pricing i a bit expensive for small businesses
