Vorteile:

It suits the business requirement.Has some great features.The concept of updating the system from time to time is excellent, which means the employer doesn't have to look for other options and upgrade the system as per the latest software.

Nachteile:

Yes, like downloading the course material.Currently, there is no option to download the course handbook, and after assigning the course to staff, the employee raised such a request.

ELMO Payroll Review

Vorteile:

There are few redeeming features about ELMO Payroll. It appears to have been developed on the run using a 3rd party payroll system most likely from USA

Nachteile:

Features that are critical are least developed such as reports from which to compile a general ladger payroll journal for uploading to an accounting system; termination transactions get included in the pay period of termination reports rather then being able to produce an 'extra' pay period; the conversion from existing to new system was as bad as it could possibly get in terms of communication with ELMO, manual data entry when uploading files fails and inconsistency with leave entitlements computation - ELMO expresses annual leave in days and long service leave in weeks - what happened to hours ??

Confusing feedback on module test/assessment

Vorteile:

The module is clear, straightforward and provides key information supported with relevant visuals to enhance understanding especially if you are not a non-native speaker of English. Navigation is easy and and progress is recorded and indicated accurately.

Nachteile:

I just used the learning module as a required training path from my employer. In one of the tests' questions, I made a wrong choice and scored 75% in my first trial. As feedback is provided immediately, I can see what the correct option is. So I went back and tried it again, choosing the right option as suggested by the feedback from the software. When I did so, my answer was still wrong. So I tried the third time, using my original answer, and it's still wrong. And I tried it again the fourth time using the suggested correct answer, and it's still wrong anyway. I've tried numerous times and now got confused. To be fair, my original answer would to some extent be right as no indication in the modul that the reading would lead to choosing the other options. Given it is a training module, and all information should be made in reasonable ways to allow readers to make intended conclusion or to assume the intended understanding, when the answers or options are hard to guess from the reading, I think the module needs further checking for content validation and construct reliability so the modul test is relevant to the module content. IMHO. Thanks.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use and straight forward product. I can see this will be an easy transition.

Nachteile:

I don't think I have been using the softward long enough to give a true indication of what I liked least. TBA.

All in one HR?

Kommentare: It does it's job, but the user interface and functionality leave a lot to be desired. The only way to get answers to questions is through logging a ticket, and this can sometimes take a while to get a response. This can be frustrating when the issue is timely.

Vorteile:

We use ELMO to track compliance courses, as well as track performance appraisals. It does both of these jobs well enough.

Nachteile:

The course building application is woefully restricting and dated. We don't use it anymore, and create eLearning modules in a different program to upload into ELMO.

My view

Kommentare: Very good

Vorteile:

User friendly, Good graphics. The softer ware makes to keep track of my HR, Training kind of areas clear and easy keep track of.

Nachteile:

Nothing I can think of. Initially not easy to pick up in the beginning. You need to get familiar with the tabs and location of the information and so on.

ELMO E-Learning

Vorteile:

ELMO software is easy to use and navigate. Layout and content of E-Learning packages are clear and visually friendly. Highly recommend.

Nachteile:

Nil issues with the E-Learning format from a user perspective

A user friendly platform

Vorteile:

it is user friendly and easy to navigate and to have all HR related logins under one portal without having to remember multiple passwords

Nachteile:

Training modules and learning courses to be made more visible.

Great overall quality of platform for money spent with good customer service and support throughout.

Kommentare: Centralised HR Platform where we can design, manage and report on the three critical people stages for us in our business, which are Recruitment, On-boarding and Learning.

Vorteile:

I think the ease of use and implementation of each of the three modules we currently have; recruitment, on-boarding and learning (including course library) is the main benefit for our business wanting to design and deploy learning modules quickly to our employees, but also makes it easier to implement best practice processes for these which improve workplace efficiencies in how we manage our most important resource, our 'people' component. The features and functionality of the learning management system I think are really seamless and useful in getting learning modules quickly and effectively produced for our network, so then we can data-mine on this for reporting purposes and auditing. Having nearly everything automated and available in the end-to-end process of HR, makes it extrememly beneficial for a business to manage the processes and have one portal with all the critical information gathered into. In addition, since the system is a cloud-based software and being client-centric, when we have enhancements to voice, the ELMO Team consider these for future changes and iterations of the platform, making it better and evolving it out for the clients it's designed for.

Nachteile:

The ELMO Survey tool and functionality requires some further enhancements to be made to ensure that it provides more granular data for clients (e.g. like Survey Monkey's design), as this will assist us in drilling down further with certain users/learners of the portal to see for example, how long and how many attempts they take for completing compliance modules etc.

Best for my needs

Vorteile:

It's straightforward and the support available makes up for any uncertainty or challenges I have experienced.

Nachteile:

The contracts module, if not purchasing the recruitment module, is quite clunky and unclear. There is very limited access to training material on it; luckily my implementation consultant is brilliant.

We have the ELMO Learning module - so far, so good! Easy way to get learning out to the business.

Vorteile:

PROS: ELMO was relatively easy to install, and the single sign on function is great as it means we don't have to log on separately to use the system. The system has been branded to look the same as our other platforms, and is quite intuitive in terms of navigating around. The ability to deploy learning opportunities from the Library works well, and we're also able to generate our own content using the course builder. The support team have been great - particularly with more presence in NZ! The data and tracking we get from the system has worked well for us and allows us to provide real time analytics to our management team.

Nachteile:

CONS: We have come up against some limitations, particularly around linking learning items together - e.g. if we want to run a webinar using Skype across the organisation, we can't embed the Skype link into an invitation direct from ELMO. We also wanted to be slightly "out of the box" and use ELMO for collation and recording of Driving Licence details for example, or apply for an unlisted external programme using the system. This proved to be more challenging than we thought, but it is probably more to do with an unintended use of the system rather than a particular system issue......

Easy of People Management

Kommentare: All staff that I have had the experience of working with have been extremely professional and helpful along the journey of implementation. Could not speak higher of them as a team.

You currently don't have the ability to have two managers

If you are a small business Do Not Buyt This Product

The only thing that was in line with the salesperson's demo was rewards and recognition.

The customer service is horrible, it is always on you to chase them.

ELMO Review

Kommentare: Elmo was supposed to provide us a seamless HRIS solution and could not be further from the truth. Many months down the track and we are still battling with the system. If it was not for the 3 year investment I have no doubt that I would have pulled the pin by now. Do not use this as your payroll solution, otherwise you will end up with headache after headache.

Vorteile:

What was presented in the demo was so different to what was delivered. This included the customer service...

Nachteile:

It was clunky. So many issues with it that they did not even know what to do half the time. Everything was always sent to the Dev team to look at.

Vorteile:

Easy to use and navigate through. I work for an organisation that has implimented this system and once used a couple of times found it very easy to use. It allows you to see all documents for training done, vaccinations etc. Job opportunites.

Nachteile:

I don't feel that there is a need for improvement based on what I use the site for.

Excellent portal for a large security company

Kommentare: Problems? There are no such things. Only challenges that are life's little tests.

Vorteile:

The pleasant UI and the way the system has been implemented for staff is well thought out and easy to navigate.

Nachteile:

Nothing springs to mind unless you include the "user to keyboard interface". You know, the one who always forgets his password. Whilst it is very simple to reset, i'm running out of passwords.

Easy to use

In one quick look you can find what you need. Is very intuitive and easy to use.

Nachteile:

I can't find anything I dislike or like least. I use all the features. Something a little bit confusing sometimes is the days when you request leave but just for a few hours instead of the entire day. Not a big deal though.

User Friendly Application

Kommentare: Leave management and performance management has been a breeze with this application.

Very user friendly application and easy to navigate. Great to monitor processes and progress.

No feature which has been identified with an issue to date.

Solid product overall

Kommentare: Great software overall with strong support. tickets are generally actioned quickly and extra support is always there for urgent issues

Vorteile:

The Course Builder is a great tool with lots of customisation and its easy to use

Nachteile:

one issue was with external training as this was very limited for what we need it for. There are heaps of comments about this in the help centre but we haven't seen any improvements yet

Elmo Software - Never Used Better Software

Easy to use and navigate around - on both iPad and computer. Love the home page with lots of options to tap into!

Nothing really to mention here… the software system is so easy to use.
