Kommentare: NordVPN ist ein perfekter VPN Service gerade für Neueinsteiger in die VPN Szene. Die Benutzeroberfläche ist Benutzerfreundlich und einfach und sortiert aufgebaut.

Vorteile:

NordVPN ist ein gutes Programm für VPN Dinge. Es bringt sogar mehr Features mit als nur die Funktion "VPN" (z.B. Bedrohungsschutz, File Sharing). Man hat in Deutschland 2 Server wo man sich hin verbinden kann und man kann auch bis zu 6 Geräte gleichzeitig mit einem Account verwenden. Ein sehr modernes und schönes Design ist auch vorhanden.

Nachteile:

Leider ist NordVPN nicht ganz so billig. Ich weiß nicht ob es an mir liegt aber manchmal muss ich NordVPN neuinstallieren damit es wieder geht. Ich glaube allerdings, das dies an mir liegt.

Most robust VPN out there - but watch out for pricing

Kommentare: Overall it's the superior VPN provider so despite its drawbacks it's the best of the bunch. I've used it in the UK, Mauritius, Thailand, Egypt, Australia, and a few other countries and it's always worked well.

Vorteile:

It's reliable, it doesn't randomly disconnect, and you have control over the countries and servers you can choose. It also doesn't seem to affect internet speed and seems to be the only VPN that reliably works with online streaming services. Works well on both mobile and desktop.

Nachteile:

It's a bit more expensive than other providers and if you don't check your plan they increase it without asking... Also my desktop app seems to want to restart every other time I open the laptop which I don't think is normal or it's at least inconvenient.

Good solution for online safety

Kommentare: NordVPN added value to my business. I was able to access services when abroad that are otherwise geo-locked. This is my main use, but its always nice to have an extra layer of security when browsing the internet and downloading unverified files.

Vorteile:

NordVPN offers a wide choice of servers in a wide choice of countries to access. This adds an element of anonymity to browsing the internet. The download and upload speed is also pretty decent, which was a dealbreaker in other VPN solutions.

Nachteile:

Some of the IPs I was assigned sometimes are blocked from certain servers due to other people's activities in the past. This is the only con I encountered. Some servers are abused and overused.

NordVPN stole $166.53 USD from me

Good VPN locations. Good speeds. Decent user in even though the pre-2021 was better.

Nachteile:

NordVPN stole $166.53 USD from me NordVPN stole money from me, literally. Very surprising that this could still happen in 2025. Here's the long story short: I saw a payment from Paddle.com on my PayPal account. I mistakenly thought that Paddle.com was a scammer. So I cancelled the payment with PayPal. After a few days, I learned that Paddle.com is NordVPN's payment provider. So, I then apologize to NordVPN, and say "Sorry Nord, can you reactivate my account? And they say "No." I ask them: "Can I have my money back then?" And they say "Speak with Paypal. We don't have the money." Of course, PayPal tells me that Paddle or Nord has the money. People at Nord specifically ask me to wait 3 months. (Does this money become up free game after 3 months?) Clearly, this seems fishy. In any case, I contact them 3 months later and [sensitive content hidden] at NordVPN tells me to contact Paddle as though I have an account with them. Note that Paddle is NordVPN's payment provider, while PayPal is the customer's payment provider. I send NordVPN screenshots of my PayPal account and nothing. Occam's razor: PayPal has never done anything like this to me in my 15 years of working with them. In closing, NordVPN and/or Paddle will not give me either their (1) SERVICE, or (2) MY MONEY BACK. Unless I am refunded or just given service (for what I paid for) back, I will never work with them again. I will update as I hear back from them. STAY AWAY FROM NORD VPN in 2025! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DANGEROUS. Note to NORDVPN: If you give me my money back or my service back, I will delete this post here.

NordVPN rocks!

Kommentare: I've rarely had a tech issue and when i do it is addressed immediately.

Vorteile:

It is easy to use. I have the whole family on it, many of which are not tech people and they find it easy to use as well. Since I have started using it, I have way fewer security incidents with malware and a lot less spam!

Nachteile:

Occasionally, when traveling, I have to restart my system to get it working on public wifi. This is not purely a NordVPN issue though, most VPN software would experience similar issues with browser based authentication for public systems.

Secure, easily managable for Admins

Kommentare: It's been great. No issues and we've been able to customize our plan as we needed to.

Vorteile:

Allows you to easily admin the entire company by setting special gateways, groups and access to specific features within the control panel.

Nachteile:

Some of our users had issues with bandwidth when using the VPN client, but it was easily resolved by changing the protocol Nord was using (Lynx is typically best).

My honest opinion about using NordVPN

Vorteile:

First, in my country, there are some websites we normally use to access to gather information like school related lessons on the internet to teach my students which in case I require a vpn service in order to access some of the websites that are blocked. Nordvpn gives me the option to freely access the internet without any restrictions whatsoever. The connection speed is blazingly fast even if the vpn server is located thousand of miles away from my location. Features like kill swtich are useful for me as to prevent me from using VPN service to some of the software that don't require it. I also like the deals of Nordvpn, especially if you considering for buying long-term, you should buy it as it is more worth it than buying short terms like months which you will likely pay more most of the times.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, there are some issues that can surface if I am trying to connect to the server, like connection timeout in the midst of connecting. Some servers require more time than others to be able to connected. I also find the performance to be slow for the first time of opening it. Navigating through the app is okay at best.

NordVPN - Not a bad solution

Kommentare: After the initital troubles I set it up and it runs all the time. When I want to access some country VPN for whatever reason I can do it quickly. Overall, it is an OK VPN app but I wouldn't say it is the best there is.

Vorteile:

I like the main app screen which directly offers to quick connect to a VPN servers. Also, the main screen offers the option to easily switch server in the selected country but also change it right there and connect to another country. I like the option of encrypted storage.

Nachteile:

The fact it took me two days to set up the app so it works and lets me open pages on my mobile device, I had issues with page loading even though I set up everything according to their knowledge base. Also, the support is fast but don't have a lot of answers except for those that are already available on their pages. I was connected to 5 or 6 agents in 45 minutes until I gave up and managed to solve the issue myself.

The app is easy to install and setup on your PC, I installed the app on my devices (IOS and Android) and browsers extensions too. The most important feature for me is the availability on all devices i use. The app is available on both Android and IOS and it can be used as a browser extension. It offers me a security layer online for me and my family. Another important feature is the Dark Web Monitor that informs me when my passwords are leaked on the dark web.

Nachteile:

Cheap and best VPN

Kommentare: This application is very usefull and comfortable for use and very easy to handle the app but performance wise not good. The main thing this app reduce the mobile phone performance and browsers speed.

Vorteile:

This VPN is very best one for connect other country servers. They provide n number of country servers and very good user interface for mobile application.

Nachteile:

After install the app completely my mobile phone performance was down. And this is more time to take connect servers and some time not connecting the VPN.

Vorteile:

I use my network a lot for gaming & streaming, but I have noticed significantly less issues since I have started using NordVPN. I don't have crazy pop-ups & I honestly don't feel like anyone could ever get anywhere near my information if I keep using NordVPN. I love it!

Nachteile:

Getting started with using NordVPN was a bit of a hassle, but that was most likely due to me & my lack of knowledge with technology.

It is fairly easy to use once installed.

Nachteile:

I had a very specific issue with Nord VPN. We purchased the NordVPN + NordPass and were required to pay 1 year upfront which we did in January 2023. Then in August 2023, I tried to login and it said our subscription ended. I thought that was odd since we paid for 12 months. I contacted customer service. They explained that they had suspended my account (without notice) and will terminate it completely. I asked why that was the case. They responded with a canned statement saying that their automated tools have suspected "web scraping or other activities" that violate their software agreement. Not a tech person here, so I have no idea what that means and became immediately concerned that my account had been breached. I asked them to investigate if the account had in fact been breached and if someone else had my account credentials or suspicious logins through Nord. They responded that they will not refund and the account is suspended indefinitely. Then I asked about the investigation to find out if there was an actual breach and they did not want to investigate. I do not feel security or customer service is top on their priority. I suggest a different VPN service that has a little more transparency.

It is easy to set up, adjust settings, or change locations. You can find many content from the vendor or other users to guide you about most aspects of NordVPN. I like the kill switch but you need to enable it for better security. Some server options don't work while other are slow but you have many options.

One of the reasons we chose NordVPN is because it offers many servers in different countries. It has many security features including Double VPN, standard encryption, malware detection, and ad blocking features. Everything about NordVPN is straightforward, from navigating their website, choosing a plan, creating account, paying, downloading, installing, and choosing the appropriate locations. I also like it because it supports many users.

Nachteile:

The only major issue with NordVPN is that some servers don't work sometimes. Others are quire slow or unresponsive. So you might need to keep changing until you find a stable one with good speed. The kill switch is not active at all times so you have to go to settings and enable it to remain secure when your connection drops unexpectedly.
