Mapping Complex Relationships with Google LookerML

Kommentare: Being a Data analyst requires a Good BI tool and using Google looker has been a great experience for me. I am impressed with the user-friendly interface, easy to understand data modelling, and integration with other google tools like google sheet and google docs. However, there were sometimes I encountered issues with large datasets. Overall, I would say it's been a great experience.

Vorteile:

My most liked feature of google looker is LookML which has been a great helped me made complex data relationships easier and saved me a lot of time. Moreover, looker has a plethora of customizable visualizations which also has ability to add advanced drill down to make it more interactive. Also, with google looker reports can be delivered by specific schedules.

Nachteile:

Occasional lags are there when I process large data sets which I feel is a downside. Also, ETL feature is missing in Google looker which I find disappointing as it should be already there.

Easily the best bang for your buck in dashboarding and reporting

Kommentare: Looker has been amazing. It's helped us be more insightful for our clients while also allowing us to easily integrate with basically any kind of data-source a client may have to help them get more value out of their existing data sets.

Vorteile:

Easily pull data from hundreds of different sources to use in analysis or reporting dashboard that you can setup in minute.

Nachteile:

Looker has a tendency to hang/freeze if you're working on reports with a lot of elements. You sometimes have to simple close the browser and reopen it to avoid oddball errors.

Vorteile:

Very powerful tool on the backend side with a great semantic layer which allows you you easily navigate through data and make explores.

Nachteile:

Lack of dashboard customization options makes the look stiff and takes away from a user experience that could have been.

Looker - business intelligence at its best

Kommentare: Looker is a comprehensive reporting tool, it saves a lot of time as the data is imported automatically from different sources like sheets, Analytics or Google Ads. These reports can easily be exported in PDF and or shared directly fromc the app.

Vorteile:

The most I like that I can connect different data sources witch will import automatically and create a complex dashboard for a better overview. I can easily create scheduled reports and share them.

Nachteile:

It can be a little challenging to create the first dashboard.

Looker - all data in one place

Kommentare: Looker is an important tool in reporting and data analysis. The report is easy to share with others and data is always updated from the sources.

Vorteile:

An important feature is that you can import data from different sources easily and automatically. I have created a dashboard with all the information I need, and with the graphs created, it is easier to analyze the evolution and what needs to be done in the future.

Nachteile:

All the options and settings can be overwhelming for the first time.

Looker - data visualization

Kommentare: Looker is an impressive tool for every business, it shows a lot of important data, reports are easy to share to see live results or export as a PDF.

Vorteile:

The most I like at Looker that I can import data from multiple sources automatically. Is very that all data is up to date when needed. Creating a dashboard with essential charts and graphs is very easy with its drag and drop builder. Another helpful thing is sharing the dashboard with other so the reports are available to all who needs any info.

Nachteile:

Everything works fine, no cons worth mentioning.

Looker is a powerful BI tool for fast growing businesses

Vorteile:

Looker has significant power with enterprise capabilities enabling us to garner insights and analytics throughout a very complex business. Looker has great capabilities around triggers which is essential for a business like ours handling volume that can vary.

Nachteile:

It is not the most user friendly tool and can have performance issues around loading. There are definitely other BI tools that have prioritised UX which helps drive data literacy across our business. With Looker, we've struggled to get non-data people into the tool to really use it as they find it hard to use without significant training.

Looker - better data visualization

Kommentare: Overwall Looker is a great tool for reporting and data analysys. The reports are always up to date and this is very important because I can track whats is happening in real time.

Vorteile:

Connecting different sources or importing data is very easy and you are sure that data is always up to date. Another important feature for me is that you can share these reports with other or you can export them.

Nachteile:

Creating a dashboard with all you need can be a little complicated for the first time.

Extremely useful tool for my company

Vorteile:

We are able to generate reports internally and for customers on the fly and to be delivered at a regular cadence externally when needed.

Nachteile:

It's a complex software (because it does so much) and obviously not the easiest to throw at an intern to learn.

Kommentare: It's very easy to create rapidly new reports, and it can be very powerful. But you need to have a tech background.

Vorteile:

Very accessible, updates, a lot of propositions

You need to know very well the measures you want to use

Daily Looker User- Very Few Complaints

Vorteile:

My company uses Looker as a BI tool internally and externally. The interface allows us to easily train customers and colleagues on how to use and manipulate the data, even if a user does not have any SQL experience. Finalized dashboards and looks provide us with visually appealing metrics.

Nachteile:

There are some limitations to custom calculations/ dimensions that can trip our users up when trying to manipulate data on their own. The support forums do not always offer solutions or workarounds for these limitations, so it must ultimately go upstream to the point where development changes need to be made.

All data in Looker

Kommentare: This is the greatest tool I found for data visualization. I am using it for the website, I have connected all reporting tools in one place and share it with all the departments to track their progress.

Vorteile:

Connecting all data sources is very easy and even a non-tech guy can do it. Organizing the dashboard was not a easy task, there are so many options for graphs and charts on the data. Report sharing is phenomenal, after I create it is easy to share it with different departments and each one can see the how they are doing.

Nachteile:

The only hard thing for me was how to organize my first page dashboard, wanted all of them there.

Looker - another type of reporting

Kommentare: Looker (and data) is all you need for a good business analysis. It has exactly what you need for data visualization, analytics and predictions.

Vorteile:

The most I like that you can import data from different sources. Making charts and graphs from all data you have allows you to do very accurate prediction on the business. Sharing the reports with different colleagues from other departments is easy and important.

Nachteile:

Is a little complicated until you come to the final dashboard design, too many options (might be only me).

Very easy for Self service BI: Enabled our marketing teams to work directly on data without getting the Data engineering team involved,

There is a lot of room for improvement. Data connectors should be added more.

An outstanding web-based application for creating dashboards

Kommentare: The way to show insights based on data, and processing tons of data and cross them with other data sets so you can have as an outcome easy to digest information for high level reports or detailed reports.

Vorteile:

What truly stands out for me with Looker Studio is its user-friendly interface and the seamless integration with Google connectors. This pre-built connection to link your data from Google Sheets to the platform simplifies the process significantly. Once the data is linked, creating customized dashboards featuring a variety of graphs is a breeze, allowing you to tailor them to your company's color scheme and preferences

Nachteile:

In the free version, I hope for future updates that Looker Studio will offer the capability to establish connections with PostgreSQL databases through SSH or VPN

Looker is the only visualization tool you need for project data

Kommentare: I love using Looker to manage our dashboards. We usually need dashboards very quickly and don't really use them that long, so the ability Looker provides for designing charts and tables fast has been a massive relief.

Vorteile:

I love how quickly you can set up advanced charts with it without using code. Being able to create dashboards from scratch in a short amount of time is a huge plus for us as we usually deal with unique instances that require new bits of data.

Nachteile:

It takes forever to load when you're running larger queries. We had to split some views two or three times to be able to have it work properly

Vorteile:

This product has been the primary data analytics and business planning base in the enterprise. It provides real-time insights that gives each department power to plan and manage risks that may arise. It is easy to use and integrate with other data management models.

Nachteile:

The set features have been working effectively based on company targets in data governance.

One of the best Dashboards

Kommentare: Looker is the best when looker retrieves data from one source.

Vorteile:

Looker is the best data source retriever I have ever used. high level of compatibility with the data sources.

Nachteile:

When linked to using more than one source of information, it results in a slowdown Dashboard.

Vorteile:

Even non-technical users can analyze data with this software. Very easy to use.

Nachteile:

Impossible to access data without an Internet connection which may hinder remote work.

Very smooth and easy to use

Vorteile:

You dont need technical expertise to use Looker studio. Only a little background information and a little hands on make you easily use the analytics. Really great for KPI measurement as well.

Nachteile:

The changes in the interfaces and modeling are rapid and it is revamped ocassionaly.

Looker works great for monitoring campaign performance

Kommentare: Looker has helped us a lot with monitoring our ads' performance with data points that aren't available on the ad platforms already. Thanks to it, we can calculate our ROI better and make decisions accordingly.

Vorteile:

Reports and dashboards are extremely simple to set up with Looker. It removed our need to ask for data all the time because it doesn't require much technical knowledge to be able to learn how to use it and we can all quickly fetch and chart most data with it on our own.

Nachteile:

The support team is close to nonexistent and there aren't many support resources that explain how to do complex tasks with it.

Great BI Tool

Kommentare: Looker Studio has helped me to create dashboards and reports hence I could make data driven decisions to keep my KPIs.

Vorteile:

Looker Studio can connect a wide variety of data sources and create highly interactive dashboards and reports.

Nachteile:

Looker Studio is a great business inteeligence tool however, it still have room for improvement, especially for complex visualizations.

Kommentare: Looker is good for off-Google data sources, but I think it will be great for users who have their data in Google

The ability of Looker to integrate with most of the data resources. that what allowed us to combine smoothly and benefit from Dashboard.

Nachteile:

Looker is a cloud-based version only which is what made some challenges for us to guarantee the quality of the internet and stability for accessing the local databases.

Most recommended analytical tool for basic to top end user

Vorteile:

Data visualization, analytical tool and data collection methods are effective tools which this platform provides.

Nachteile:

As far as my user experiences' concerned, I have not faced any difficulty or using disability with regard to my use case.

Excellent tool Data visualization and analytics

Kommentare: Looker has been my go to tool for analytics, reporting and dashboarding. It is very easy to learn for an individual. It is user friendly as well. Overall good experience from the tool. It is way better than Tableau and Qlik.

Vorteile:

First and foremost, the most important feature of Looker is, it is cloud based BI tool which can be accessed remotely and easy to work unless like other tools where it requires to be installed in the PC.It has clean and simple UI which is very to build dashboards and reports.Lookml option provides benefit of flexibility in code which in turn help to create own metrics and create calculations. This helps for the marketer or developer to have the control of the metrics Data modelling is very easy to create and Looker has the capacity to sync with various connectors to access the data from other sources, which solves the use case of having 3rd party connectors.

Nachteile:

The new interface of swapping between read-only and developer is not that great. The older version was better as compared to the new one. Customer support is gone from good to bad. When I had queries , customer support team could not help as they themselves were not aware of the tool and also they share articles which are available with google search to diagnose.The codes should have an option to export to PDF.
