Remote first? Matter matters

Kommentare: I wasn't sure at first since I hadn't used a system like this before. But now that I've used it for over a year I think it's really valuable. Getting folks to think slightly larger than themselves through peer recognition and surveys helps a remote-first team stay connected.

Vorteile:

For a remote-first company, Matter encourages engagement and peer recognition among team members. It also supports the management team taking the pulse of how people are feeling and what they are thinking about.

Nachteile:

It can be a little pushy to get responses. This might be a configuration option though.

don't change the rewards without making an announcement BEFORE YOU CHANGE IT.

Kommentare: terrible. why would i spend points on company swag? shouldn't my company be giving me this stuff so i can rep them? also, announcing you're changing the matter rewards AFTER you've already changed them helps absolutely no one.

Vorteile:

nothing. after the rewards were changed this has become entirely useless.

Nachteile:

when the matter rewards were all changed without letting anyone know.

Overall Awesome Experience with Matter!

Kommentare: I love how easy it is to use, and the ability to send coins with kudos is a great touch, it makes showing appreciation more fun. The gifs are definitely a highlight too. Plus, the automation is flawless, everything just works smoothly. It’s a really enjoyable app all around!

What I liked most about Matter is the ability to send coins along with kudos! It's such a great way to show appreciation while also earning coins. It makes the experience feel more rewarding and fun!

Honestly, I liked pretty much everything, especially the gifs! Can't really think of anything I disliked!

I do not like how difficult it is to customize. I want to give more than the pre-set banners when I give feedback.

Fun work moral booster!

Kommentare: Overall I have received a lot of positive feedback from my coworkers about Matter. We each enjoy receiving positive feedback at the end of the week.

Vorteile:

I like that I can give team members coins each week that they can use for any type of gift card they want.

Nachteile:

I wish I could add fun gifs to go with the messages.

Overall positive experience

Kommentare: Overall our experience has been positive. We like the incentives it rewards our employees with, and overall think it's a good idea. It's a bit underutilized at times in our environment, but I think that's a more personal issue rather than an issue with the product.

Vorteile:

It does help with employee happiness and productivity by incentivizing people with free gifts for a job well done/anniversaries and birthdays.

Nachteile:

Tends to get a bit underutilized in our environment; "Feedback Friday" gets missed a lot simply because we tend to be too busy to get around to it.

Matter- great for remote employees!

Kommentare: I think it has been a great tool. In addition to being able to recognize people for good work, you can also give points for birthdays for people to save up to get items they really want. You don't have to worry about buying gifts and mailing them since we are a completely remote company.

Vorteile:

It's a great way to recognize co-workers for going over and beyond on projects.

Nachteile:

Sometimes people use it to give points just to be giving points to multiple people in order for them to get points back.

Using Matter has been a game-changer for our team communication!

Kommentare: Very easy and highly recommended for teams looking to boost productivity and communication!

Vorteile:

The platform is intuitive, making collaboration seamless. The organization of channels and direct messages keeps everything tidy, and the integrations add tremendous value to our workflow.

Nachteile:

1. A little limited in Kudos output formats 2. There aren't many charities to choose from for donations.

Fun in More Ways than One!

Kommentare: I’ve had an overall great experience with Matter. I’ve been able to use kudos coins to cover all different sorts of things, because the options to cash in vary so widely. I also appreciate knowing how appreciated I am by my coworkers.

Vorteile:

The option to give public appreciation to others.

Nachteile:

For the more sensitive folks, the feeling of being left out.

MATTER AND ORANGE

Vorteile:

Since the company works with everyone remote, Matter has been a really important tool for us to get everyone closer, recognize their value and their good work every day or week. It also makes us socialize more than if we didnt have it.

Nachteile:

I think there is anything that I dont like, I even love the gifs they use to invite us to join kudos or so.

Feedback from Matter User

Kommentare: I've personally had a great experience. I love that we receive reminders in the beginning and end of day to give kudos. We can all become very busy at work and have the intent to send recognition but can easily forget throughout the day, so receiving a cool reminder (they're super funny) is great .

Vorteile:

Great for company morale. Recognizing our team regardless of title is very important, no one is exempt from receiving kudos.

Nachteile:

I have not encountered any cons using Matter.

Great to boost camaraderie!

Kommentare: I like it. Just need to know how to motivate everyone to continue to use it the most. I really like the motivation behind it (receiving money/gift cards) and then also the bond that develops but unfortunately, it's the same people that use it weekly.

Vorteile:

I love that it incentivizes our team to give "kudos" and show appreciation to others on the team for many reasons. It is a great way to develop camaraderie within our large team.

Nachteile:

I wish there was a way to get more people to participate. Maybe there could be a way to give kudos to the people that participate the most at the end of the Friday?

Great engagement tool

Kommentare: Really straight forward to onboard and integrate within the company, we were provided materials to circulate, and the install was a simple add in on Teams.

Vorteile:

Matter has really made a positive impact on morale within the company, it has increased engagement and recognition. There are a wide variety of rewards to choose from to suit everyone's tastes

Nachteile:

Just that we didn't implement it sooner!

Matter Matters

Kommentare: Overall, it is a great product. Our company really appreciate how Matter will remind you how that is Friday and will count down the hours before it is over. Also, we love the gifs!

Vorteile:

Not being able to change certain things.

Great for employee recognition, birthdays and anniversaries!

Vorteile:

We used Matter for around a year and it was great for our employee recognition - giving the team a chance to shout out about their colleagues and praise each other for the work they have done. Also, we found it really useful when announcing birthdays and anniversaries, setting reminders for the team to respond to. The choice of vouchers was also great!

Nachteile:

There weren't many cons for us, we were happy with the product however managed to find an alternative platform that had similar rewards therefore, we cancelled our contract this year. The engagement did drop after a little while so would've been nice to have something to keep the team engaged!

Matter of Fun

Kommentare: It's fun for Feedback Friday. I like celebrating birthdays and work anniversaries, too. Creating my kudos is also a nice feature.

Giving the Opportunity to Reflect

Kommentare: I am grateful that we have the opportunity to earn and gift kudos points because we can appreciate one another and also redeem them for prizes. It is yet another incentive each week.

Vorteile:

I like that we can take a moment to reflect on the moments of collaboration and positivity we had throughout the week with our colleagues.

Nachteile:

I would prefer more options in designing the Kudos card.

Kommentare: Very positive - we have used it for events, attached pictures of winners.

Nachteile:

replying to the the treads when you have been shouted it seems you can only comment underneath peoples responses.

Ease of awarding kudos. Was very easy to setup and love our rep! He always responds quickly.

Nachteile:

Wish we could edit kudos. Several team members have misspelled words and they wanted to edit instead of deleting and retyping.
