Solve the leaves management!!

Kommentare: We have been using it for one and a half months and it is been amazing so far, it really solved us the leaves management, people working remotely can use it without any problem and also the dashboard is easy to see. what was our main problem was after someone within the office took some vacations days did not know then how many days he/she has left (we were using Semesterlistan, a Swedish company)

Vorteile:

What we really like about this software is its usability, user frinedly and is is integrated with Slack, our non-offical communication channel.

Nachteile:

Might be good an app and also if we can count extra working days

Exactly what we needed!

Kommentare: We are saving so much time and employee confusion about time off! Our previous system (from our payroll provider) was inflexible and often wrong. Leave time is too valuable to employees to have any mistakes.

Vorteile:

The ability to reset time off on individual anniversary dates vs. end of year. Also the ease of use for end users, combined with the accurate tracking of time off.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if I could auto-generate a custom report with a certain timeframe, but the reporting function is easy enough to quickly run a report for payroll.

Great tool to track overall vaca days

Does not allow for birthdays & anniversary datesDoes not send people notifications on how many days they have leftDoes not send notifications on day or days a person is out It puts "Paid time off South Carolina" on the MS Outlook calendar, which takes out too much room!

Basic Leave Tracking

Kommentare: I wish it had more options for customizing messages to users when submitting leave. It is easy for users to submit and cancel leave. It is limited on intuitiveness for time accrual.

Vorteile:

Easy to set up and use. Integrates well with Teams. Does not take much training for employees to use. Customize leave types, assign roles, designate rules for different locations. Pricing is more flexible for small businesses that have a varying number of users.

Nachteile:

Limited functionality. Employees can either take off full days or half days, they cannot designate exact hours. No accrual tracking based upon hours worked. No option for a custom message for employees to read and agree to and no option for employees to designate a cover person.

Great time off management system built right into Slack

Vorteile:

We love using Vacation Tracker because it was super easy to deploy across our full team, and the best part is that it integrates right into Slack. This is a big deal since we all spend most of our day with Slack open, so not having to worry about another app or website is nice. We also love the ability to create custom types of time off, since our company has many different categories of time off that all have different allotments.

Nachteile:

My only complaint would be that I wish the Vacation Tracker website was a little bit more robust. Sometimes I find it a little TOO simple. However, I think it's a double edged sword because I really do love the simplicity of its layout.

A Game-Changer for My Remote Team!

Vorteile:

I found it very easy to set up Vacation Tracker for our remote team! Since we work from three different locations, this tool has been of great help. It allowed us to completely eliminate spreadsheets and automate our time off management. Highly recommend!

Nachteile:

I have no complaints, the support team has been incredibly helpful whenever we had any questions.

Revolutionized the way we book PTO!

Kommentare: It was very easy to get used to the software. Onboarding and importing our users was very quick.

Vorteile:

Everything is accessible from our Teams workspace, which is a huge advantage. I can request leaves through the bot and access all leave-related information without logging into another site. Plus, the customer support team is super friendly and always here to help!

Nachteile:

While there are no major drawbacks, there are certain functionalities that could be enhanced for improved usability.

Easy-to-use, even easier to implement

Kommentare: Leaving Excel behind has been a blessing and Vacation Tracker greatly helped us transition. We're happy we made the switch.

Vorteile:

We loved how quick it was to get set up after demoing the product. Our team uses Vacation Tracker on Slack, and our favorite feature is how requesting and approving leaves only takes a few minutes. Everything else on Slack has also been great so far.

Nachteile:

We weren't able to figure out how to schedule Reports on the online Dashboard but their Customer Support team helped us out with it!

Great Product

Vorteile:

Vacation Tracker makes it easy for me to manage employees time off requests. The calendar view of all upcoming leaves helps us to forecast how we need to shift work to accommodate for employee time off. We have a unique offering of vacation days so we are happy that vacation tracker allows you to customize per user.

Nachteile:

I entered a new employee into the system and chose to prorate their PTO, unfortuantely I did not mean to select that and when I tried to change it back I was unable to. Thankfully, [sensitive content hidden] at customer service was able to solve my issue in a timely manner with great customer service.

Easiest Vacation Tracker I've ever used!

Vorteile:

Vacation Tracker was incredible easy to implement and it does its job very well. The interface is simple, but effective. And the platform allows for just the right amount of customization. It's integrations with Slack make sharing information super simple.

Nachteile:

I wish there were some deeper customization options around setting company holidays. Creating team and approver hierarchies can also be a bit confusing if your company isn't very clearly vertical.

Simple and well integrated

Kommentare: I've been very happy with it and the wider team has had no issues adapting it. It offers great visibility and accountability for leave taken. They are always updating it and the support has been very responsive.

Vorteile:

Vacation Tracker has excellent integration with Slack and Google Calendar, with most leave requests and approvals done through Slack. The support team is extremely responsive and has been able to quickly solve any questions or issues we had with the app. The app itself is very easy to navigate and mostly self-explanatory. The leave policies, locations and approval flow are quite customisable and extremely user friendly. The leave accrual functionality has been a fantastic addition, and allowances can be adjusted by individual.

Nachteile:

Could us more flexibility in leave policies, for example ability to submit requests retroactively

Simple and easy to use

Kommentare: Our overall experience with Vacation Tracker is great. The team is daily informed about each others absence.

Vorteile:

It's synchronized with Slack and keeps our team organized and up to date on upcoming leaves. It's simple and easy to use, it enable us to successfully manage our time off.

Nachteile:

There are no significant cons, except the functionalities which could be improved. We're missing basic features , like editing previously accpeted or made absences. Also, it would be good to have role like manager, that would manage people, instead of giving admin access to enable specific managing permissions. Competitive companies created much more functional softwares in this department.

I would definitely recommend Vacation Tracker to all teams out there, especially startups and small businesses looking for a simple tool without a bunch of unnecessary bells and whistles.

Vorteile:

It’s really easy to use, it took our team a week to get used to it. We love the Slack integration and the notifications, they keep our whole team up to date on upcoming leaves. We also really like how you can organize your company into teams with their own notifications and calendar feeds since our team has multiple offices across the world.

Nachteile:

The only thing we’d like to see added to Vacation Tracker is the ability to block our team from being able to request leaves on certain dates. We sometimes have critical deadlines and we don’t allow people to take time off right before the deadlines. It takes us some time to manage this manually so it would be neat to have a feature allowing us to do this automatically.

Vorteile:

It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles like other vacation tracking/HR software so you pay for what you really need. Love the customer service!

Nachteile:

Initial set up is easy but it would be even better if there was an automated flow to the set up instead of me picking and choosing the areas to set up. It would be great to customize even further - being able to upload our company policy on the platform would be great. The ability to pick different times and not be restricted to a full or half day would be good too. Sometimes people want to sign off a couple of hours early but you can't indicate that on here.

The GUI - needs to be able to set an alert that relates to company policy. e.g. if an employee applies for 3 weeks leave, but the company policy is 2 weeks leave, they should not be allowed to submit the application

Kommentare: It has been good. Overall customer service is great and value for the money being paid.

Vorteile:

The Platform is very user-friendly and i love that i can make adjustments on behalf of clients.

Nachteile:

Maybe clocking in options for hourly employees or an attendance tracker . Also wish it can be integrated into our internal HRIS system or payroll system

When we first started with VT, certain features were not available

I really respect this product

Vorteile:

This may be the first unprompted review I have ever left. I googled and found this solutions swiftly. It solved a very simple but complex global vacation and national leave challenge we had that has been crucial to our culture. Managed everything through the UX. Just generally a happy and impressed customer

Nachteile:

It would have been mildly helpful if it could have imported more international vacation days by region, or even ranked them In terms of adoption

It changes fast, new features are coming in and the team is really helpful about any of our question.

Nachteile:

I'm not always receiving notification when a new, probably really useful features appears.

Great product, easy to use

Kommentare: Vacation tracker enables our team to manage the entire time-off requisition and tracking process remotely. The dashboards are very convenient for managerial and payroll staff to see at a glance the resource staffing in calendar format. Highly recommend.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to use, and created with the user in mind. Receiving the reminders weekly (of who have planned time off), and the calendar aspect of the dashboard makes the resource management very convenient.

Nachteile:

nothing really. The development team have been very helpful in adjusting my concerns as they came up, and the software is very (non-tech) user friendly.

Does exactly what you need if you're looking for a time off management tool

Kommentare: I needed a tool to move out of Pause since it wasn't working for me, and I did not need a fully fledged HR management system, just a time off application, this was perfect for that purpose

Vorteile:

It's easy to use and implement, it can be customized to multiple team needs and requirements where others tools had failed me

Nachteile:

It's rather expensive for what it does, we're currently looking to develop a similar app internally since the functionality, while effective, is not particularly sophisticated, at a lower price points we might've considered using this as a permanent solution

Great Customer Service!

Kommentare: I've been very happy with Vacation Tracker. IT beats using a spreadsheet for PTO and the CS team has always been supe responsive and super helpful!

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use, and how easy it is to get help when something is going wrong!

Nachteile:

No Cons so far. It wasn't syncing with my connected product Slack, but that's been fixed

Best implementation of this year for our company!

Kommentare: We LOVE Vacation Tracker. We went from a single person tracking PTO on a spreadsheet to a completely transparent, user friendly portal. My employees were constantly asking how many days they had left and we were using paper request and payroll forms. Changes were a huge hassle. Now, they can send a chat message to request days off, see how many days they have left and can make adjustments easily. Any request are sent to managers in a chat and they can approve/deny instantly and payroll can easily access weekly reports to stay up to date. It seems like a simple thing, PTO tracking, but when it's done well like this, the experience for the entire company is so much better!

Vorteile:

Completely paperless, easy to set up and get implemented. Employees love having visibility to their PTO and easily requesting PTO. Customer support is AMAZING!

Nachteile:

We have a graduated yearly accrual (the longer you are here, the more days you earn) and it isn't quite set up for that yet so we update annually on anniversary dates. I wish the calendar integrated into the Teams calendar.

The payment. They should have an invoicing option.

A great tool that you can very easily integrate into your organisation to solve a painful problem

Kommentare: A really nice tool that is simple and tracks something that would otherwise be a big pain to track. One of th better Slack applications.

Vorteile:

It is easy to use and setup. It is also extremely easy to apply for leave and to check how much you have left. Everything is tracked. It is also great that it is announced who is on leave, so that people understand this.

Nachteile:

The only real thing I didn't like was that you cannot retrospectively add in leave, once you take the leave without tracking it in Vacation tracker, you can't put it in again. Customer support assured me that this would be the case in the future though.
