My swiss army knife
Kommentare: Its my go to book keeping tool I have used it I "Trust" it and would highly recommend it to any business no matter the industry or size .
Vorteile:
Easy to understand so its easy to train new users I have used this software in my construction business and a store manager it easily helps me manage multiple pos devices both in store and in the field making tax forms and reports quick and easy to create .
Nachteile:
There is a learning curve for some uses of the software

The software you need when opening a small business
Kommentare: For those opening a small business, how to process payments is one of the key questions that need a solution and with this you have the ability to get paid from your customer.
Vorteile:
The easy functionality and all the different features that I didn't think about that would be there to help get a company going

Quickbooks POS
Kommentare: Our overall experience since using POS 19.0 has been BAD.
Vorteile:
The system is fairly easy to use and generally intuitive.
Nachteile:
Since they did the upgrade to 19.0 they removed the multiple email options. We have used Quickbooks POS for over 12 years and it worked well. There were a few minor things we had to work around, but that was okay and it served our company well. Since upgrading to 19.0 we have had nothing but problems. Feature were taken away, the screens freeze, it locks up our computers, etc. Then there is the service issue - it will shut down my entire POS system so I'll have customer calling or waiting and not POS, can't process credit cards, ets. You call for service and it 15 minutes or more to get assistance. You go online for "faster service" and get a technician that can't help. HORRIBLE customer service. Once in a while you'll get a good technician who is knowledgeable, but that is very rare.
Quickbooks Point of Sale a breeze for users
Kommentare: Overall, we have been very happy with our Quickbooks Point of Sale experience and receive very few user complaints about the system.
Vorteile:
The POS interface is very user-friendly, something that is important when you have users who are not computer savvy. The ability to run either a single register or multiple in a networked environment was essential for our needs. The pre-built reports are very good and offer the ability to filter/search when needed.
Nachteile:
We run the on-prem version as their cloud-based version does not offer all the features we need. Because of this, user management within the system is difficult if you are managing multiple locations. POS clients will sometimes have trouble seeing the POS server, resulting in us having to write batch files that allow the end-users to restart the POS server services when needed.
Surprised how easy it was to use

best part of this software was how quickly I can process the payments while maintaining a constant log of each sale.
Nachteile:
no features really missing I just had to over come the learning curve to be honest.
Difficult Program
Kommentare: Too difficult and creates such unproductivity in the staff when trying to correct sales, inventory, receiving, etc.
Vorteile:
Not much. We use QB POS 18.0 and it's really not user friendly for anyone in our company. We went through a sales tax audit and the sales tax auditors refused to deal with POS reports because of it's difficulties.
Nachteile:
See above. So much to write. The POS should when integrating with QB Enterprise have the correct sales receipts and journal reference numbers populating correctly but does not. Talking with POS IT people was futile in getting most of the issues resolved. We are looking at getting out of this software and into something else.

I love how easy QuickBooks makes their point of sale program to use. I never had any issues using the program and it could do more than I even neededed!
Nachteile:
There is nothing I just like about QuickBooks point of sale.
Functional not pretty, gets the job done

Vorteile:
Has customization - we have a quick pick category for most commonly bought items. Has useful features like reports, storing customer info, purchase orders.
Nachteile:
It isn't very user friendly - have to x out of windows to get back to selling. User interface is ugly and in general a bit clunky. Could be user error... but nothing seems to scan once entered.

Great POS system for small business
Vorteile:
I bought the simple version of Quickbooks POS and it had great features for an entry business. No limits on inventory list and great tool for customer loyalty rewarding. For being a simple version, this brings a lot of handy tools to track inventory and awesome sales report.
Nachteile:
Very laggy when filled inventory list with 1000+ items. Also, the online feature needed to be on the expensive version, so it didn't offer it like other POS systems do without upgrading.

Kommentare: The intergration with QB Financials
Vorteile:
Ease of setup and intetgration into our QB Enterprise software. We got system setup in under an hour and was connected to QB Finance and ringing up customers with a hour and a half.
Nachteile:
How inventory goes into QB Financial but we developed a work around. Inventory needs to be able to use QB Finance as the main record for inventory

Kommentare: I am so disappointed. I have logged 50 hours on the phone with customer service since August 2020. The engineers obviously released the new updated system too soon and my business suffers because of it. I also found that the pin pad freezes and then reverses your sale even though you think it went thru. awful!!
Vorteile:
I love that it is easy to use and has good reporting ability. Links well with QB Bookkeeping

I was told to upgrade from QB 12.0 to 19.0.. I have had nothing but problems. The first day we set it up there was an error and there continues to be same error message even though i have spent numerous hours on phone with customer service. I am on my 3rd pin pad and had the system uninstalled and re-installed twice. They want to do it again but I refused as they just keep trying different things instead of really figuring out what the problem is. Today I tried to process a $400 sale on applepay and was told that they have an issue with this type of payment (even though this new pin pad was supposed to take Apple pay) They never let you know of issues. You just have to experience them and then call in.
Quickbooks Support is Awful. Pick something else even if upfront cost is higher ( Used for 15 years
Kommentare: We've used Quickbooks POS and Desktop for 15 years. We just recently decided to integrate credit card processing. Our "sales rep" flat out lied about the features. Once he received our payment, he would not return calls or emails. Swell! We've upgraded to the new version 19. This process has been simply AWFUL. I have no less that 15 "case numbers". Even had our files sent to a technician. No resolution! My Staff had figured some work arounds to make the lock ups and disruptions to business less frequent. With each call I make to support I will be "disconnected" at least 2-3 times and have to start the process all over. This includes attempts to call and use the "online support" which is worse. After maybe an hour of ineffective support (I am being kind here), I will be referred to Level 2. They are always too busy at the time to assist, and "will call back". The call back DOES NOT HAPPEN. I will have to call back everyday for a week and complain before Level 2 will call. I have had Level 2 "call back appointments" promise after promise of call backs. NEVER HAPPENS These issues take away from my ability to manage my business effectively. I belong to several business groups online. I continue to say pick another POS Quickbooks is awful...just awful. Oh and the chickens and roosters in the background when talking to support...what in the world??? I've decided to give some online reviews as well so folks that want to focus on their business make a different choice even if

Quickbooks offers one stop shopping that initially appealed to me. We use Point of Sate along with integrating into the Desktop for accounting.
Nachteile:
Support is worse than non existent. Integration is limited. Features promised are proprietary and more limited that promised.

Quckbooks Is Very Incompetent
Kommentare: Quickbooks have chosen to freeze all of my deposits totaling $1,510.50 without providing any notification. I have called multiple times to ask:1) Why was my account frozen?2) Why wasn't I notified that my account would be frozen?3) What is the process to have my account unfrozen?4) May I speak with a supervisorEvery representative that I have spoken to in the last several days has not been able to answer any of the above reasonable questions. Nor has a supervisor returned my call. Quickbooks honestly does not care about its customers. Nor do they have the competence to relay simple information within a professional time frame and manner. I have already started with a new credit card processing company. This should not be rocket science for QuickBooks. I hope I can resolve this and move forward with my business. I hope this company goes out of business. Respectfully,JD

Nothing. This is the worse company and they provide no type of customer service.
Nachteile:
The employees are very incompetent and not helpful.
Quickbooks POS is very powerful, but requires a paid IT staff person to set up and maintain.
Kommentare: As powerful as a jet fighter plane, and just as complicated to learn to fly! Requires a very high committment to training and a competent bookkeeping and IT support staff.
Vorteile:
Very, very powerful features and capability. An overwhelming number of features for customizing and controlling inventory.
Nachteile:
Exceedingly complicated and difficult to learn. Would not recommend this to any business or non-profit that cannot afford to hire both bookkeeping and IT professionals to set up and keep the system maintained. Although Quickbooks POS and Quicbooks Bookkeeping software is supposed to be fully integrated, classifications set up in POS do not automatically port over to Quickbooks Bookkeeping software. Many of the reports are not intuitive to generate or interpret. Fixing after-the-fact sales errors in POS is problematic and overly complicated.
I feel like less competent than a monkey in a space rocket with this tool - NEED TRAINING!!
Vorteile:
It seems that the ability to really do ANYthing with the software is there, yet without the proper time and training one can use it only to about 10% of its potential. That said, the 10% is better than the old cash register and this has been a very useful tool for getting our business's inventory managed and sales organized.
Nachteile:
This is an incredibly complex system that ought to come along with intensive (and free of cost) training. This is not an intuitive software and there are just so many ins and outs and ups and downs that I learn something new everytime I poke around a bit and think: "shoot, I wish I would have known about that three years ago when I got this thing!!!"
Not good for small business!!!
Kommentare: It is just not the best for smaller businesses especially since every few years they tell you you have to pay to continue using but OH! they're giving us a 50% discount for being customers already. Sorely disappointed in the position they have pushed us into. The cost is not a small sum for small businesses.

Yea it has a lot of features, but whether you use them or not you are paying for them. Quickbooks has been great for our business besides the crazy charges they demand.
Nachteile:
Being forced to pay every couple years for the same service just because they "fixed" a few things. That is not how to treat loyal customers

Absolutely nothing. It is overpriced and under featured. It does not work as advertised.
Nachteile:
It does not function as advertised. Intuit doesn't listen to customer complaints, calls, emails, feedback via the app. It is like talking to the wall. They do not release patches or fixes, ever. Multi-store is absolutely terrible. Like who is going to upload and download files nightly between stores? What century is this? Come on Intuit, fix this POS.
Once the only game in town
Kommentare: Once, one of the only games in POS. town, Intuit now has robust competition. We are seriously looking into a cloud based alternative for our store. Having said that, I will say that my most recent call to customer service was one of the best I have ever had. Maybe they are feeling some heat from the competition.
Vorteile:
Very versatile, perhaps to a fault at times. Quite easy to learn at least initially. Integration with QuickBooks.
Nachteile:
UI needs a serious updating. Many fine features on the software are not immediately apparent or easily accessible. This is at least partly due to the somewhat outdated and clumsy interface. We have had the desktop based version of this POS since 2003 and have had a tenuous and oftentimes rocky relationship with customer service and support. Intuit is such an enormous company that one feels like an unimportant cog in the wheel when trying to fix a problem.
WORST SUPPORT IN THE HISTORY OF BUSINESS
Kommentare: If there was less there was less than one star for customer support I would give it that. I was down an entire week! And they didn't even care. You can't contact anybody that is of any help. I now have sales up and running but my item list and inventory list can't be tracked. This is the worst company on the face of the planet run away!!!

Simple to use, self explanatory, Easy set up- easy to talk an employee through over the phone if they need to use a new part of the system
Nachteile:
It would help if there was a report that showed busy times of day, how many invoices per hour, -is good for staffing purposes and when looking at hourly changes-my old system had this and we used it quite alot
QB POS is worth a try
Vorteile:
QuickBooks POS is a very affordable system. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Excellent at tracking inventory. QuickBooks tech support cannot be beat.
Nachteile:
Reports are clunky and hard to navigate. The POS system does not connect with QuickBooks desktop as well as it should.

Kommentare: Pretty terrible , Will be moving to a different pos as soon as we can. Support is non existent

None No tech support and after you wait for an hour they don’t speak English and hang up on you
Nachteile:
Clunky interface, having to wait over an hour for tech support and then having them hang up on you, having chargebacks and not being able to dispute them even though we had all the information for the card and the owners signature.

The ease to learn and how easy it is to customize reports for whatever you need it for. Tracking payments and entering notes is a great function!
Nachteile:
I guess my only con would be emailing through QuickBooks doesn't have our company logo or signatures.
It was great for what it was

This was brilliant. I really like how customizable the software is. For a layman, it was a very easy-to-use platform that was an all-in-one bundle of scheduling tools, customer profile tools, invoicing, ect. Big value.
Nachteile:
I really enjoied using this software but it seemed to really bog down as my database grew. I would love to see a faster application.
