Every Nonprofit Should Immediately Begin Using Zeffy. No joke.

Kommentare: A+ across the board. I stated using it to save us money (or, rather, to be able to keep more of our donations). But immediately became a convert and now find myself telling everyone about it. If you’re a nonprofit… this has to be your donation portal.

Vorteile:

What initially attracted me was the no credit card / online processing fees for donations. But there are no fees for ANYTHING. The way they make money works for them and I’m a huge fan. But beyond that (and that was enough) — EVERYTHING is fantastic from the immediate setup time to the ease of use to their phenomenal customer service … the “savings” are way more than just not losing money to credit card companies. It saves TIME and is so elegant and easy to use.

Nachteile:

It’s hard to find something bad to say but I think the UI could be improved based on user feedback. It’s by no means bad and I like that it’s simple. It could potentially be laid out a little more logically but if nothing changed I wouldn’t have any problems. Currently their mobile app (iPhone) leaves a lot to be desired. I’d rate that a C-/D+ in its current state.

Kommentare: I thought it was easy to navigate. Zeffy tried to think of all the things you would encounter using their software for events: like redundant emails, managing emails, testing emails etc. They deposited to my account in a timely manner like they said they would. Zeffy seems more like a boutique service which I like.

Vorteile:

I used Zeffy for a small event of 60 people. I used the email communication and setup, payments, and invites.

Nachteile:

I had about 10 people come for free and I didnt have time to figure out how to discount them on zeffy.

You shouldn't have to opt out of the donation!

Kommentare: If it weren't for the unexpected "donation" it would have been great.

Vorteile:

It was a brief form that didn't require too much info.

Nachteile:

They apparently have a default donation to Zeffy that gets added to your donation. We had made a $100 donation and were quite angered by the $12.95 "donation" it said we agreed to. You shouldn't have to opt out. I will definitely think twice before donating through Zeffy again!

I can't believe it's free!

Kommentare: Overall my experience with Zeffy has been stellar. I've never found an easier platform with so many options. AND it is free. Mindblowing!

Vorteile:

This is the easiest donor management software I have ever seen. I am older and often confused by software but this was intuitive and lovely to use. The receipts are very clean and professional.

Nachteile:

I'm not sure I've connected my bank properly, so that part is still iffy for me.

The customer service provided by Zeffy is 'top-notch.' The representative responded to my concerns promptly. I truly appreciated the support that I received.

I didn't have any concerns with Zeffy. The problems that I encountered were a result of 'user error' due to my inexperience.

Kommentare: Overall my experience has been fantastic! It has been easy and effective, plus it's FREE for nonprofits.

Vorteile:

It is very easy to use. I am not particularly tech-savvy, but I was able to navigate the program and create the forms that I needed. Tech support was available when I did have questions.

Nachteile:

I would like for there to be an easy way to manage payments for Silent Auction items. While there is something in place for on-line auctions, I had to create my own make-shift way of managing our in-person auction.

USE ZEFFY IT'S WORTH IT!

Vorteile:

Zeffy is such a good option for nonprofits. It gives people the opportunity to put money back into their nonprofit, instead of to some large corporation that takes fees that are hurting nonprofits.

Nachteile:

Zeffy needs to work on their tap to pay option so you can close the app and not have to re-log back in, very inconvenient.

Vorteile:

It was extremely easy to set up our account with Zeffy and create different forms for different fundraising activities. Customer service has been terrific. The platforms ability to allow easy communication with donors has been especially helpful. It has exceeded my expectations.

Nachteile:

Merging our prior donor database with Zeffy has been a little challenging.

Kommentare: Zeffy is an incredible product and has been a real game changer for CMHA Toronto. Donor relations, reporting, and receipting are all vastly improved by this product and the elimination of transaction fees has already saved us tens of thousands of dollars in a short time.

Vorteile:

I was initially interested in Zeffy due to the promise of zero transaction fees. This is a very appealing feature for donors who always appreciate knowing that 100% of their donation is going to the charity. I had been using another product that charged nearly 5% in transaction fees. I soon began using Zeffy for anything that required a pay portal from the donation page on our website, to campaign pages for third party events. I have also used Zeffy for ticketing, and it has been a flawless experience.

Nachteile:

The templates can be a bit limiting, for instance if I want to employ a video and info graphic on the same page, you need to click on the box that says 'what impact will this donation have' in order to see the graphic. It's not the worst setup, but it could be improved.

Zeffy is Crucial to our Non-Profit Operation

Vorteile:

The platform is easy to use and understand. All of the features are helpful to our organization. The ability to export data to Excel is excellent. The ability to accept online credit card payments if very useful. It is so versatile from ticketing, to donations, to registrations - we use it all. Not only is it free, it is functional and genuinely useful.

Nachteile:

I like the Volunteer features that no longer exist.

A smooth transition and ability to tailor to our needs

Kommentare: My organization had previously used other fundraiser sites including GoFundMe Charity (previously Crowdrise), who decided to strip down their offering and remove almost all functionality. Zeffy was there to respond to those needs and more. Overall the experience was smoother and more tailored to our needs than any services we have used in the past.

Vorteile:

Zeffy's features and functionality most closely matched our needs, and the fact that there were no fees taken from donations was a huge bonus. It was easy to learn and use, and the customer support was excellent and attentive. With the help of Zeffy my organization was able to meet our ambitious fundraising goal.

Nachteile:

There was a bit of muddiness in sorting out the event registration vs. become a fundraiser vs. donation functions for some users, so there seems to be something lacking in the clarity of some of these processes and how they are communicated to users (I would have to spend time looking into and asking users for this feedback to be more precise). There was also a technical issue with the site within the first few days of the fundraiser; it did get resolved within a reasonable amount of time but added a lot of stress and extra work on the part of the organizers to deal with the inquiries that came as a result.

Zeffy is the Real Deal - Drop GoFundMe - Go with Zeffy!

Vorteile:

The features and the zero transaction fees make the platform ideal for NPO's. It truly is more intuitive in design and features than any other offering. We have saved $1,000's in transaction fees for our organization. We even use the system for tickets for events. It wonderful.

Nachteile:

Would be nice to have a messaging system to send updates out to donors who have donated via the system.

Perfect for a low-use Senior Center

Vorteile:

Our small-town Senior Center base basically disappeared during Covid. We are struggling to rebuild our membership. Many of our older population are not computer savvy, so we needed something simple to use and that we could easily add off-line (cash) payments to for tracking purposes. Zeffy suits us perfectly.

Nachteile:

I cannot get images to load no matter what size or shape they are. Customer Support has been great about getting them to load for me, but I hate to keep bugging them, and I'm not sure why I can't get it to work. Plus telling me what pixel sizes is not helpful for a non-graphic person :\

New to Zeffy but so far so good!

Kommentare: So far so good WIth Paypal GIving taking over from Facebook/META for donations from that platform, we wanted to find another way for our donors to support us based on prior bad experiences with Paypal. ZEFFY is very easy to use form my point of view, I can put together a fundraiser quickly and easily, and I'm hopelessly incompetent! I'm working on a peer to peer Christmas fundraiser right now, "in lieu of gifts and cards."

Vorteile:

We do appreciate being able to set up fundraisers to easily and quickly and with little to no need for cyber skills. (I'm proof of that!) We also liked being able to set up weekly deposits ito our account. And of course, no fees deducted.

Nachteile:

As I've mentioned ot you before, I do not like the contribution being added automatically, and at a high %. I still think asking donors if they would like to offer a small tip or contribution would overall produce more income. We take the time to explain to our donors that they can adjust or eliminate the"tip'"..while also encouraging them to leave what they feel is appropriate, given that there are no fees deducted. This is awkward, but on our first effort we had donors very upset at being charged what they saw as a large fee.

REALLY 100% free and wonderful support

Kommentare: Easy to use, no more data loss, time and money savvy, community spirit. Love it !

Vorteile:

We simply love it (no pun intented) ! We can manage all in one software. No more forgetting about emetting fiscal receipts, loosing a participant or their info, etc. All of that and really easy to use with very kind free support. Simplyk is also eager to get our feedback and work on it. We feel we are part of the same team, working together to reach our goal.

Nachteile:

It is not really cons but more wishes. More possibilities in the back office such as having several users for our account. Also our end users would like to have the possibility to pay by Interac or check for all kinds of amounts as well as by cash. Etc. Simplyk's team knows our wishes and a lot of things are in development so I am very confident to have most of them eventually.

Kommentare: Overall I loved using the Zeffy platform to sell tickets for our fundraiser event. Once I set it set up, everything went smoothly. We’ll be using it for more events in the future. I found being able to sell tickets online to be a huge help, in the time it takes and also for planning purposes. And we also now have a list of people who bought tickets with their contact information for future events (which we didn’t necessarily have prior to using Zeffy). Thank you Zeffy!

Vorteile:

No cost to our service organization and no cost to our customers. Easy to set up, easy for our organization to get paid. Easy for our customers to go to the site and buy tickets.

Nachteile:

There were a number of times when I had questions about the set up or how to make changes after we were up and running. But there was no one manning the chat feature and when I left a message it took 1-2 days for a Zeffy person to get back to me. When they did I was not near my computer or I had already spent a bunch of time trying to figure it out myself (and being frustrated). I did appreciate that you got back to me to answer my questions. It would be much more helpful if the help was more readily available. I’d love it if the chat feature was truly live, at least during regular business hours. That would be a huge help.

Keep every cent of your donations! No CC/Platform Fees!

Kommentare: Overall the experience has been very good for a free platform that lets us save cc fees. It honestly does more than I thought it would, and we've been happy with it. If Zeffy charged for the platform or cc fees, we would look at comparable platforms. The great thing about Zeffy is that there literally is no comparable platform. EVERYONE charges fees except them. They seems too good to be true, but they're not!

Vorteile:

Most people thought Zeffy was too good to be true. I begged them to let us try based on reviews from reputable sources like Capterra. We are SO glad we found Zeffy. It's provides more than I hoped for in terms of a platform, and it saves us so much in terms of credit card fees.

Nachteile:

There are definitely things we've run into that could be more convenient, but we've always been able to fix user errors on the back end or rework things to compensate. The biggest annoyance that we've run into is that once you sign up for a volunteer slot on an event, you can't change it. We will not be using the volunteer service anymore due to that, but everything else has been manageable.

Looking Into Using Zeffy Is Worth Your Time and Effort - you won't be disappointed

Vorteile:

The features that was most important were the ability to offer existing members pre-populated forms that made it easy for them to renew annual memberships by paying dues and making donations on-line. This replaced our legacy system that was painful to the membership because it forced them to fill out a form with the same info they gave us last year and then mail it to us.

Nachteile:

The ability to arrange the information presented on the forms is somewhat limited so the process flow did not match our existing process. An example was the form for a renewal customer required them to answer first how what donation they wanted to make the Historical Society over and above the dues. Then the form asked them to choose whether they wanted an Individual or Family Membership. This sequence should be reversed.
