Kommentare: My experience with AthenaHealth has been really awesome. I like all the features and functionalities that it offers. It makes my work easier, faster, and efficient. It saves me time and helps me address patient's needs in a more concise and timely manner. I loved using this product!

Vorteile:

What I loved about AthenaOne is it is so easy to use. It is not complicated and quite easy to find information about the patient.

Nachteile:

So far with my everyday use of Athena, I don't have any complaints as it makes my job a lot easier, faster, and efficient. Help me to address patient's needs in a quick and timely manner.

Outstanding Software For Any Medical Facility

Kommentare: I work with athenaOne every day and I can't imagine my work day without it. It is very efficient and smooth, whether I'm checking in patients, adjusting the doctor's calendar, requesting or sending documents, viewing EMRs, or sending out communication to the patients; this software really does it all! The technical support team is also excellent at response time and effectively communicating resolutions to the rare times I have issues. I highly recommend to all medical facilities.

Vorteile:

AthenaOne has it all. It's an all-encompassing software, from checking in guests, to viewing EMRs, faxing documents, and communicating with patients; there is nothing else like it. The support team is quick to respond when there is an issue. It makes the work day so much more time-efficient and professional.

Nachteile:

The updates can be a bit disruptive, but they work quickly to resolve any issues.

Easy to access

Vorteile:

That it keeps the accounts per provider separate for the user using the portal domain

Nachteile:

That it doesn’t sync records across providers when user logs in via generic portal

price increases and crashes

Kommentare: it crashes way too often. Updates almost always come with issues that need to be addressed over the weeks after the release. I am frustrated with the crashes and increasing cost and to switch is always an issue

Vorteile:

It started out less expensive and had some good features

Nachteile:

They increase the cost based, and it is based on gross revenue - so like everything in medical, you work harder and everyone takes a bigger slice, without being able to increase rates to accommodate. They charge primary care a higher percentage than specialists so the rich continue to get richer. They do respond to suggestions. For instance there is not "out of office" reply option for patient messages, and no way to send them to another provider. Ridiculous. And they refuse to address this

Great product!

Vorteile:

I love how easy it is to sign in and access my information.

Nachteile:

There's nothing in particular that I don't like, I think it's efficient.

Athena doesnt stand behind product

Kommentare: Poor, we were promised that it was going to do machine learning so that it would learn our protocols and tendencies, I have seen none of this.

Vorteile:

Ability to fax reports directly to providers

Nachteile:

Minimal to no responsiveness from the company, basically plug and play, and skim percentage of your profits. Awkward interface.

Perspective from a Medical Assistant

Kommentare: Overall I have enjoyed my use and time with AthenaHealth. I truly appreciated the in depth knowledge the trainers provided, and the time they spent with us following training to ensure we had all of our bases covered.

Vorteile:

As a CCMA I am accessing the EMR before, during and often after each visit. I have done everything from prior auths, RX refills, procedure documentation, clinic check-in, injections documentation, and so much more through Athena. I find that I can easily maneuver, document, update and communicate ia Athena systems. I appreciate the adequate training we received through Athena reps, and enjoy the flow of working in the system with ease and fluidity.

Nachteile:

Rarely, the system will not have the correct or specific code or med I am looking for. The database is wide and as a large offering, however, on a rare occasion i have to improvise.

Quality/Informatics Manager

Kommentare: Great, I have been an Athena user since 2007/2008. I have learned a lot throughout the time and continue to evolve with the newest technology options.

Vorteile:

The ease of functionalities. CSM access.

Nachteile:

Not being able to “copy” reasons for visits from one provider to another.

Athena Review

Vorteile:

The overall appearance of Athena is by far the best I have used so far.

Nachteile:

Some of the areas are not very Userfriendly when it comes to credentialing status and Maintenace.

Easy to use

Vorteile:

Overall, athenaOne is easy to use. It has what it needs to manage patient care. You can navigate the EMR efficiently and easily without much effort.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, there is a problem with saving the charting. I have had a couple of instances where all my charting will disappear. There is a lot of double charting as well.

Perfect for us!

Kommentare: In general I relate to the mission of Athena and see the work happening to address the hard issues in healthcare which feels supportive.

Vorteile:

AthenaOne is focused on making the work we do each day simpler. They listen and use the customer voice to drive changes in the product.

Nachteile:

First level case responses are gat don’t address the issue adequately.

Easy to use communication with your providers

Kommentare: Overall, I use athenaOne frequently for managing my health!

Vorteile:

Easy to use and communicate with healthcare providers. Provides easy access to health records, test results, and messaging.

Nachteile:

Email notification lag. When you receive a message from your doctor, they will send an email to notify you, but the email comes hours after you've received the message.

Frustrating experience

Vorteile:

The actual EMR is well designed and one of the best on the market. The workflows and order sets made use of the EMR very easy to use.

Nachteile:

We liked the Athena EMR. We did not like the Athena One package, the related onboarding process or the corporate policies of Athena. We were told that the onboarding process would be 3 months. During that time we had (unhelpful) weekly meetings with Athena reps. My staff and myself did the required ,yet excessive, onboarding tasks outside of these meetings. However after 5 months the Athena One build out was still incomplete due to Athena staff's lack of progress. Communications around their delays were met with corporate gaslighting and deflecting. This is a solo provide practice with 1-2 insurance panels. There is no logical reason that the EMR should not have been ready for use after 5 months. I have used Athena in other settings and it seems that they do a very poor job with submitting claims. Most practice lose money if they re relying on Athena One to submit claims.

Nachteile:

It does not work properly sometimes (15%) with Safary/IOS users and there seems to be no answer from athena.

Vorteile:

Athena has a true "Skin in the game" model, their performance impacts their payment. Negligible start-up costs with great first year and on-going support as well as employees who engage with us to help us succeed and grow.

Nachteile:

We've had to engage with third party vendors for some services we feel Athena should be able to provide. That added cost is not optimal.

I like the ease of viewing my medical records past and present hassle free as well as being able to manage any scheduled appointments

Nachteile:

I didnt like the the way it was all set up when i first used it i cant say anything about now present time considering i havent used it in a long while back then it was hard to find my way around for certian things but not to bad at all

Best EMR out there, but pricy

Kommentare: I did like the system. It was wonderful working with during my PMHNP preceptorship.

Setup cost is insanely expensive. Also, telemed is strange.

Level of growth and capacity level of As the company grows may be limited.

Integration with AthenaOne

Vorteile:

Quite a few of our clients currently use this system. With out lab being able to integrate their current patient system with our ERM, our clients do not have to worry bout relearning a whole new system or transferring anything.

Nachteile:

I do not have any cons about athenaOne at this time.

Kommentare: It was great to have a software which is easy to navigate without having a headache where to find things.

It is easy to follow and manage on a daily basis.

Nothing so far. I did not find anything that makes difficult to working with this software.

AthenaOne is efficient, secure, and easy to use

Vorteile:

AthenaOne is cohesive - it has nearly all the features we need for managing medical records, charting, communicating with patients, registration, portal access, etc. in one place. It is also simple to use, with workflows that are simply designed and customizable. Customer service is also great, we can reach them via chat or phone very easily.

Nachteile:

There are a few workflows that would be nice to customize even more, such as making the Exam section of the five-step encounter one page instead of having to click to the next page to access the next section (such as moving from HPI to ROS).
