Instead of just telling us, "this is how it's going to be" Brightcove connected me with their engineering team so that they could build what we needed in fuctionality so that we would be able to move off of Ooyala to Brightcove instead of moving to a different company. This has been the case ever since. If another company can offer something Brightcove can't they just build it for us, and usually build it better. And if a company comes in cheaper, Bightcove has always beat their competition's pricing.
