Automatic email digest notifications for tracked keywords. Trending feature is helping to find the current trending topics to write articles.

Nachteile:

I feel monthly recurring prices can be much lower, price may be high for people who are just starting. Not able to invite team members, i feel this is really important.

Outstanding Tool For Social Media Managers

Vorteile:

From tending content, top hashtags, or influencer outreach - Social Animal truly is the "Swiss army knife of social tools." I love the fact that, within minutes, I can identify influencers that are likely to share my content. Additionally, I can check my headlines against top-performing headlines to get those clicks!

Nachteile:

The learning curve for Social Animal was a bit steeper than comparable software -- but that because this does so much more.

Good software. Needs experience to set the filter correctly

Kommentare: Pretty good. If I'll succed in defining more narrow what I'm looking for Social Animals does just that.

Very easy to set Social Animal up. No issues detected

Nachteile:

I'm still a bit struggeling with the precision of the selection algorithm. Would like to be able to set filters for language etc. as a default. Currently I'd have to select those entries new each time.

Outstanding Alternative to Buzzsumo and great value for money!

Kommentare: My overall experience with Social Animal is extremely positive. Their customer support is also second to none and, even if they could use an extra smiley face sometimes, they're prompt to answer and great to work with!

Vorteile:

They have an extensive toolkit featuring content research, marketing and social analytics tool. Their product is easy to use, fast to integrate within digital marketing processes and looks good on mobile devices. I find their pricing model to be extremely affordable.

Nachteile:

The UI is not as polished as other alternatives on the market and can look "outdated" to users of Buzzsumo or other competitors. That being said, the UX is functional.

Really Helpful for Gaining Insights Into Concepts & Content

Vorteile:

I really enjoy how I can see content ideas and keywords are being engaged. hugely helpful when we think we have a good idea, to see the types of people and engagement the ideas are already generating.

Nachteile:

it would be great to have more sources of data.

Very Good Content Analytics Tools

Kommentare: For what it's mainly good at which is content analytics, it does an awesome job at that.

Vorteile:

This tool gives you the analytical stats on the best performing content on the web. This is valuable if you're trying to find and share content that you know will resonate well with your audience.

Nachteile:

I wish there were more options for the Facebook fanpage analysis. The stats are a bit limited.

Great tool to get out of your content echo chamber

Vorteile:

Really smooth experience to audit competitors and their social content promotion strategy.

Nachteile:

Sometimes, in bilingual places like Quebec, things can get mixed up but it's a common reality for every single webmarketing tool.

Great alternative to BuzzSumo

Excellent tool to do content research

Kommentare: Social Animal is a time saver as it saves a lot of time in doing research about content. A must-have tool for a content marketer.

Vorteile:

I often use Social Animal to track if a particular content can go viral and then come up with similar content for myself. I also use Social Animal to stay upto date with my competitors strategies so that I can implement the same and improve it further.

Nachteile:

Easier filtration options to limit searches to a country, state, city.

All in one to grow your content marketing

Kommentare: I really enjoy the idea of Social Animal. I think it just needs a bit of product guidance, to make the interface more attractive, combine the features more and improve the user onboarding process. It will be a strong competitor for Buzzsumo, for example, when it does this.
I've used it to research a few competitors for a client and get a better idea on the content that's out there already. This allowed me to create a fresh strategy that has a foundation for success.

Vorteile:

I've used many content marketing tools in the past. From SEO-specific ones to research-only ones. Social Animal does a great job in 3 areas: - finding content from competitors/similar products -> this allowed me to have a basis for the strategy we wanted to create - keeping track of mentions -> without this, we wouldn't have been able to see, in one single view, what the status of our own brand was - find great facebook content -> I didn't even know this was possible, but it allowed me to understand how content will perform BEFORE I posted it

Nachteile:

While Social Animal is great in 3 areas, it's a bit of a mixed bag in the middle. First, there's the overall interface. Some is reminding me of Buzzsumo, other times of NinjaOutreach. Not a bad thing in itself, it just doesn't spark joy. Feels a tad outdated. Second, the features don't really connect to one another, or so it seemed. You can find influencers for example, but can't find their emails to contact them. Or at least I couldn't. Features seems separate from one another. The third thing is about the upcoming/beta features. While it did say it had sentiment analysis for the Insights feature, I wasn't able to find that element. So some elements feel unprepared for prime time.

Good Alternative to Buzzsumo

Kommentare: For the purpose of finding new links and useful topics for my newsletter it's useful. But a proper guide on how to use is due from the makers.

Vorteile:

I like the fact that I can know and share the trending articles about a certain topic on social media. Actually I send a newsletter every week and this tool helps me identify and include relavant links from across the web related to my niche.

Nachteile:

I wanted to use this tool to come up with new blog titles on trending topics but so far found it difficult to use for that purpose. The makers should come up with a proper guide/series of blog posts/youtube videos on how to use this software effectively instead of linking to some third-party blog post.

Insights to My Inbox. Every Day.

Vorteile:

The daily report that comes to my inbox is amazing. Top posts, articles and influencers are aggregated daily. It keeps me informed and aware of new trends and discussions in my niche. Invaluable!

Nachteile:

Sometimes the images in the email digest are HUGE and formatted strangely, but that's a small price to pay for the content.

Great Tool if You Run Out of Ideas for Content

Vorteile:

Hot topics related to your interest are deliver to your mailbox daily. You will never run out of idea on trending topics. Great tool to content marketing and business owner to stay on top of their niche.

Nachteile:

When search for a certain topic, the filtering feature is not very accurate some times, still spaces for improvement.

Great potential, but not quite there yet

Kommentare: Social Animal helps me keep my finger on the pulse of our social media mentions.

Vorteile:

When it finds good results for your search it can give you great competitor or influencer information. The automated mention emails are very useful and probably the best part of the app. If that's all you're looking for, Social Animal is a good option.

Nachteile:

Unfortunately, a lot of my searches still come up empty. I'm sure this will improve over time, though.

Social Animal is Good, soon to be great

Kommentare: I really like the software and realize that over time it will get better and better. Right now, the search could be upgraded to more advance boolean searches, but that will take time.

Vorteile:

When you are in need of the software the pros use to create content marketing, Social Animal is the right tool. I am just a keyword away from my next blog post concept with this software package.

Nachteile:

The search does not have the robust search features that BUZZ SUMO has. It lacks the ability to search for the diamond in the rough, although it does have deep search, it's not delivering results that are current.

Unexpectedly Good

Vorteile:

This was extremely easy to set up. I was skeptical that it would help identify trends and important stories about our niche as I’ve used other software that promises similar and the results were very messy. Social Animal is much better than the competition and returned excellent results that I can actually use.

Nachteile:

It takes a short while to start working at top performance, in terms of getting the search spot-on, but only a week or so.

A good ally to detect content for your marketing strategy

Kommentare: In general it is a useful tool in the day to day work to detect trends and relevant content.

Vorteile:

it is very fast to detect trends in the content of a theme.

Nachteile:

In some content niches sometimes you don't find much content.

Social Animal is a beast!

Vorteile:

Social Animal is a beast! I love how easy it is to set up your alerts and how well you can filter through articles. It's a good alternative to more expensive softwares.

Nachteile:

I don't like that the alerts cannot be filtered based on language (at least when I tried, about three months ago (today it's 20-7-2020) so that might have changed.) It gave me a lot of spanish results, for a keyword I was testing, for example. That is sub-optimal.

Great for in-depth social analytics

I think this is a unique social media software in that it actually provides robust content analytics. If you are using influencers in your social campaign, this is also a very useful software.

Nachteile:

There is a feature to monitor competition mentions and activity. However, I think the actual interface and display on this information is a bit clunky.

Decent tool to replace BuzzSumo

Vorteile:

It has the same type of features as BuzzSumo and it's quite helpful to find popular content based on some specific keywords.

Nachteile:

Seems that for some specific keywords that are more niche and broad in their terms, the content provided is not always of quality for what we're looking for.

Content Research - Buzzsumo Alternative

Vorteile:

I got Social Animal on an AppSumo deal, so the cost of the tool has saved me a bunch on Buzzsumo and other content research tool. I like that I can find out what types of content are performing for certain topics and build my content strategy based on that.

Nachteile:

There isn't a lot of data on some of the smaller, more refined niches. I'm not sure where the data is pulled from, but it works best for big, broad topics.
