Students and staff are already familiar with Google Docs and Drive, so the adoption curve is basically nonexistent compared to standing up a Microsoft environment from scratch. Collaboration in real time on shared documents works smoothly and the storage management across users is easy to oversee from the admin console. For that use case it genuinely earns its place. > > **Nachteile**: Where it starts to feel inconsistent is when you're trying to bridge the Google side with a Microsoft-heavy environment. Our main org runs on OneDrive and Microsoft 365, and keeping those two ecosystems from stepping on each other takes more active management than it should. File format compatibility between Google Docs and Word/Excel isn't always clean, and staff who float between both sides end up having to think about which version of a file lives where.
