Wave - Accounting Software

Kommentare: I've used Wave for nearly five years now. It's simple to use, and the cost is pretty low compared to some of the other options out there. I have had a few technology hiccups from time to time that have created some extra work and had me exploring other options, but each time it was eventually resolved, and I am still with them.

Vorteile:

Wave is pretty easy to use, and if you can't figure it out on your own, the help documents are pretty easy to follow and guide you to the right spot.

Nachteile:

It's invoicing only so it's not as robust as some competitor products that also include documents for proposals and such.

A good alternative to QBO

Kommentare: Overall, if I were more knowledgeable at setting up the account properly from the beginning, I'm sure the experience would have been just fine. I ended up switching to QuickBooks online once I had an actual bookkeeper who could do all the setup for me. As for an alternative to QB, this seemed almost identical to the base properties of the program, but it's been a few years so I can't compare what features they offer now.

Vorteile:

free version offered a lot of great features comparable to QB Online

Nachteile:

Not being an accountant-minded person, I needed to catch up on account reconciliation. It was not easy to figure out and took a lot of time, even with the help pros. Spent hundreds of $$ for multiple calls with a help pro who did the work and had me watch but never actually taught me how to do it myself. And then never answered my questions via email as he explained he would.

Wave is a simple accounting and payment collections app

Vorteile:

I like the simplicity of the app and the ability to keep track of finances as well as accept ACH payments.

Nachteile:

It’s a little limited to function capabilities compared to its competitors such as bill and quickbooks.

Good software for basic use, great for personal accounts.

Kommentare: It was great solution for small business in the UK market, however with the introduction of MTD in the UK, Wave has decided to stop developing the product for the UK market within MTD.

Vorteile:

I liked that it was an online free solution for the UK customers.

Nachteile:

The reporting side is very limited, only basic reports are available.

Vorteile:

Wave has the visibility and control needed across accounts payable, global payments, procurement and employee expenses to run business more efficiently and drive growth. It's users friendliness has been enhanced by the power of AI.

Nachteile:

Personal designing of the dashboard is not desirable. It is also disappointing that some banks are not fully implementable on the software.

Amazing Cloud Accounting Product for SMBs

Kommentare: very positive overall and have been using it for years.

Vorteile:

Love the fact that you can do payroll, invoicing, payment by credit card and taxes all in 1 solution for small business

Nachteile:

Probably the payroll fee each month that I have to pay. Some providers are free and for small business every single $ counts.

Wave works well for the Sole Proprietor

Vorteile:

As a sole proprietor, I do like that it has a free option to keep my overhead costs manageable.

Nachteile:

There are some reports that are a bit more challenging to put together

Kommentare: As a freelancer, I rely on Wave to send invoices, track payment statuses, and keep all my earnings organized for tax season. It provides everything I need in one place. Even though I only tap into a fraction of Wave's capabilities, I can only imagine the full potential of the platform, especially in its paid version. I wholeheartedly recommend Wave to anyone looking for an efficient solution!

Vorteile:

The user-friendly interface of Wave is incredibly intuitive, making it easy for me to accomplish the tasks I need without any confusion. I particularly appreciate the extensive customization options available for documents like invoices, allowing them to appear both professional and personalized.

Nachteile:

Although the customization features are impressive, there are still a few areas that could use some refinement. However, the overall quality of Wave is so high that it's challenging to pinpoint any significant drawbacks.

A simple-to-use accounting platform for small businesses

Kommentare: I am not a professional accountant but I am able to do simple bookkeeping for my two small businesses myself - thanks to Wave. Invoices can be uploaded in a very intuitive way and connecting outside banking accounts is easy and works very well.

Vorteile:

Wave is an easy-to-use accounting software. Even people who are not accountants, like myself, can use it. I am a small business owner who does his accounting. The best part is - Wave offers the option to run multiple businesses through the same account. It's very convenient. I simply switch from one business to another without having to log into another account.

Nachteile:

Many things I did not like about Wave have been fixed over the years. It was mostly performance issues, but they've all been addressed now.

So happy with the free version!

Vorteile:

I use the free version and am completely happy with it! I am not an accountant, so my learning curve was big, but that was more for the accounting side and not the software side.

Nachteile:

It freezes up sometimes when I try to open too many windows.

One of the best SMB accounting tools out there

Kommentare: I'm not an accountant by any means, but I know most failed businesses fail because of poor accounting practices; Wave made it easy for me to track due invoices as well as my costs to make sure I kept running in the black and made me look super professional.

Vorteile:

As a SMB or sole-consultant Wave takes all the annoyances of invoicing and tracking payments in/out super simple.

Nachteile:

I've honestly not run into an Cons while using Wave (formerly "Wave Accounting).

Love the Starter Version of Wave

Kommentare: I've used Wave for quite a while now & Love it. I will eventually move up to one of the paid subscriptions as this program has enabled me to be more professional with invoicing.

Vorteile:

Having a free version for small business owners is truly amazing. The fact that it works so well and is very easy to setup & use is a blessing

Nachteile:

I realize every business needs to make money - the latest update which now makes you download the invoice to send as opposed to being able to send from within Wave is nothing more than a small extra step.

better than quickbooks in my opinion

Kommentare: quickbooks was confusing to me. i happened to find wave just browsing the internet and it seemed a lot easier to me.

Vorteile:

simple interface. very easy for a beginner.

Nachteile:

no complaints really. i only use it for my commercial accounts so it's pretty simple for me.

One Stop Money Management Platform

Kommentare: My overall experience has been outstanding. The business has used Wave for nearly 6 years.

Vorteile:

I like the ease of use and the ability to create both individual invoices and recurring invoices. I also like the ability to take a range of payments from card to direct deposit (ACH). Finally, the ease of managing transactions makes my life easier as a small business owner.

Nachteile:

The recent price increase, while understandable, is never fun.

Excellent Free Software for Small Businesses

Kommentare: Extremely easy to use and a perfect first software for service based businesses that don't want to pay for Quickbooks yet.

Vorteile:

- Free - Cloud based - Easily customizable/brandable invoicing and reports

Nachteile:

It does not do costing per order or inventory management as far as I'm aware.

Online Invoicing Program

Kommentare: Invoice creation and processing requires zero manual processes with Wave.

Vorteile:

Wave has robust features that enables me to eradicate manual processes during data entry in various aspects such as bank reconciliation, AP and AR.

Nachteile:

I have never come across any error on the pro plan.

Kommentare: Excellent. It makes a massive difference to our business and keeps track of our progress.

Vorteile:

It's the best accounting system I have ever used before. Very effective and user friendly and I would recommend it to any business.

Nachteile:

It's taken long to have a great app for it and also they've restricted new accounts to North America which is a drag.

A must have business Accounting service especially for Canada

Kommentare: My income taxes are basically done as we go at any taken day. If you got everything categorized your taxes are always done.

Vorteile:

CRA certified Free to use but as good as QuickBooks Great for solopreneurs, freelancers and small business Easy connect to all back accounts and credit card or LOC all under the same account. Can have multiple businesses Auto categorization of income and expances Auto GST calculation on qualified purchases only and on sales and properly calculated in the reports

Nachteile:

Unless you get an optional paid subscription services that many business don't even need you can not get any support not by email nor by Messenger or on the phone. You are on your own. You can only use their knowledge base or online videos. If you have an issue that is not in the knowledge base you are on your own to figure it out.

Efficient real estate accounting solutions

Vorteile:

We no longer care about getting reports on the financial performance of our company since the deployment of this solution. It's easy to use and report generation feature are responsive.

Nachteile:

Its a tool that meets the requirements, we have never regretted.

My Expertise with Wave Accounting

Kommentare: Accounts payable and receivable automation, billing and invoicing are the main relish that I realize.

Vorteile:

I have been using Wave Accounting for over five years now. I like how it makes it easy to carry out accounting tasks through automations which eradicate manual processes.

Nachteile:

I do not like that Wave Accounting doesn’t offer room for global enterprise companies on it’s own without integrating with external apps.

Wave is an excellent product!

It is easy to use and understand. I feel both comfortable and confident when using WAVE.

Nachteile:

I know that the fee will be going up as I was just notified recently. I just hope that it doesn't get too expensive.

Best free invoicing service

Kommentare: Overall great experience super user friendly for me and those i send invoices too.

Vorteile:

For a free service it can't be beat - the invoicing is super user friendly.

Nachteile:

No huge complaints - a little more difficult to integrate with shopify but again for a free service I highly recommend this invoicing service.

Great Product...Wouldn't Recommend It

Kommentare: I loved the product, but accepted a payment from a client they deemed, suspicious or fraudulent. As a result of that, they severely limited the features I could use on their product, which left me stranded and search of a new provider because I could no longer invoice or accept payments, which crippled my ability to do business. I could not transfer information from one system to the other and had to manually re-enter everything. They would not provide a reason for their flag, which left me with a very disgruntled client that I lost as a result of them not processing the payment and accusing the client of fraud. It was a very stressful experience, and I was very disappointed with the outcome.

Vorteile:

The ease of use, they make billing and tracking payments seamless and easy.

Nachteile:

Communication is poor when a problem arise. They can not offer detail explanations if they make a decision to reject or process a client payment.

Accounting done wright

Kommentare: Great software, everything worked as it should be, support is fast and really helps you.

Vorteile:

Perfect accounting software for a small business and someone with less to none accounting knowledge. Creating unlimited estimates and invoices even on the free plan is the greatest feature.

Nachteile:

No cons here, worked flawless for me and my small business.

Wave Accounting: The Optimal and Should be First Choice for Small Business Owners

Kommentare: I have been using Wave for a long time now. For more than 4 years and I have nothing bad to say about Wave Accounting it is absolutely amazing, and is way better than quickbooks in my opinion.

Vorteile:

Wave's ability to automatically categorize and track receipts. Another feature I must mention is the invoicing capabilities. These features are more than essential to the small business owner and are easy to generate on the go quickly with the mobile application.

Nachteile:

One aspect of Wave that could be improved is the mobile applications' ability to manage payout accounts. Also, the receipts feature remaining free would be a huge value add for logistics company owners.
