Navigation and information flow can be hard until you are comfortable with the system and its capabilities. They make it so easy to set all of that up. There is the Contribution module for our church office to track giving. It is totally independent of the Accounting module, but yet it will feed the revenue into the Accounting module. > > **Nachteile**: The payroll piece isn't as robust as some other software programs, but only from a standpoint of automatically producing some of the federal and state tax forms. Instead, they provide a report that gives you all the data you need. From there you fill out the form yourself. out. But IconCMO's annual cost for a payroll module is a few hundred dollars less than what you would pay anywhere else. So, if a few times a year I have to fill out a form, it's still a money savings. > > The experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The software is easy to use; there are good training videos and help screens. If I run into any problems, I send an email to support. They are extremely quick to respond and resolve things. The template reports cover almost every situation we need to keep track of donations, expenses, and comparison to budget. We used to have a desktop-based product that very few could access and use. My previously used software did all that for me. Once I got the hang of it, though, and found the reports I needed, it has become just as easy to do as payroll itself. > > Initially, I was using IconCMO just for contributions/record keeping, etc. I used Quickbooks for all of our bookkeeping. I was having to enter everything twice each week and keep track of what I had entered where. I was frustrated with Quickbooks non-profit, not because it is a bad product, but because it is not set up for fund accounting, which is how our church operates. Being familiar with IconCMO, it was not especially difficult to get the Fund Accounting side set up... there are a LOT of training videos that were VERY helpful, and when I contacted customer support, they were able to help me on the spot\! It took a bit of time to get everything set up the way I wanted it, but that would be the case with any new accounting software.
